Paling in comparison to the Excelsior Geyser and Grand Prismatic, the Turquoise Pool is the third largest hot spring along the half mile boardwalk in the Grand Prismatic basin. This pool boasts a deep blue or turquoise color. This pool doesn’t have near as much steam or water flowing out of it as the other two larger pools. For this purpose I rank it lower. What I found interesting in this geyser is the ground on the side of the pool. Those are sediment of the minerals coming from the hot steam pool and create beautiful colors of yellow, red, brown, green and creme.
