Paling in comparison to the Excelsior Geyser and Grand Prismatic, the Turquoise Pool is the third largest hot spring along the half mile boardwalk in the Grand Prismatic basin. This pool boasts a deep blue or turquoise color. This pool doesnโ€™t have near as much steam or water flowing out of it as the other two larger pools. For this purpose I rank it lower. Place this pool in other geyser basins and it would be a highlight. Unfortunately for the Turquoise pool it just happens to have two of the world's most famous hot springs...

Turquoise Pool. If you walk from the bridge of Firehole River, you will pass this geyser first before seeing another which is located on the right side across the Excelsior Geyser crater. What I found interesting in this geyser is the ground on the side of the pool. Those are sediment of the minerals coming from the hot steam pool and create beautiful colors of yellow, red, brown, green and creme. By visiting this pool, you will get both beautiful scenery and beautiful color combination...

Turquoise Pool is a stunning hot spring at Midway Geyser Basin, measuring 100x110 feet with temperatures of 142-160 F (60-70ยฐC). Its vibrant gem-like blue-colored water and unique milky white bottom make it a captivating sight. The pool has no overflow.
