North Elm Butcher Block — Attraction in Westfield

This place seemed nice the first time I visited it about a year ago, so I'll be generous and give it a star for that.

Today I tried to call ahead to place an order for fish and chips since I've heard really good things about it, but I called repeatedly for half an hour straight while I was on my way and only got busy signals. So I get there only to find out that I was unable to enter due to the Covid-19 pandemic and there was a huge line of cars picking up orders, and after trying to catch the attention of the two female employees outside who were going from car to car for a few minutes, they told me that I needed to text an email address. So, I texted the email address, waited in my car for 10 minutes, didn't get a response. While I waited, I tried browsing the website for pricing to see if I wanted to get more than fish and chips, but there are no prices listed and you're supposed to contact them about it. How if you can't call and don't get responses to messages? And how do I know what I want to get if I can't see how much it's gonna cost? Also the website states that you need to place orders 24 hours in advance and they will tell you when it's ready. I just left, unsatisfied.

North Elm Butcher Block saved our wedding day in Sept. 2023. The delivery driver we hired was a no-show and despite them being overwhelmed with several weddings that day, Alexis and Dan gave me a call and told me they felt terrible for what had happened and were going to take care of the delivery for us. From start to end, North Elm has been professional, kind and went above and beyond to take care of us.

On top of this, the food is so delicious! Our guests were ranting and raving about the catering which included: mac & cheese (this went very fast), pulled pork, brisket, a variety of cold salads and more. So much of the food I ordered was gluten free which was great for multiple people with food allergies.

We had a great experience using North Elm Butcher Block for catering our wedding! The food was very reasonably priced and the staff were flexible in working with us to ensure we received exactly what we were looking for. Nikki was wonderful in responding promptly to our emails answering all of our questions. All of the staff here are so friendly and supportive, during the wedding they made sure to check in with me to make sure I was getting any of the food I needed/wanted, including bringing special hors d'oeuvres to me and my husband during cocktail hour.
