If I could give a 0 stars I would. Do not go here. I went to dana because of all the good reviews about her services in high hopes that she was going to be able to do what I wanted. I wanted some natural balayage highlights and what I got was a streaky, spotty mess. Instead of being a caramel color my highlights turned out bronze. I also asked for long layers and I got short layers that were very close to my head. I have very thick hair I do not need short layers to make my hair look thicker. I went back to dana to get it fixed and even the second time around I did not get the results I wanted. The second attempt damaged my hair and I ended up having to cut 3 inches off. Which is a lot for me because I have been wanting to grow my hair out. I asked for a refund because I had to go to another salon to get my hair fixed and dana did not want to refund my money even though she KNEW that she did not do my hair the way I wanted. I saw Dana for some fun colors !! And oh man did she deliver! Not only was the establishment very clean, she was very professional and on time ! Most places you book an appointment and they’re running late and on their phones. Still waiting an hour past your appointment time.. Not here ! The colors we chose were very vibrant bright colors which involved bleaching, I was extremely nervous to bleach my hair since I have only put color into my hair. Dana talked me down and assured me the process will take a couple visits, which I now understand is why ! When pulling color from dark hair, it will need a couple processes to get it light enough for the colors I wanted! I've been seeing Dana for years. She's done everything from cuts, color, highlights, and extensions for me. She's always been clear in her communication and has saved me from myself many times. I have ideas, pictures, etc but she asks great questions. When I don't understand the term, I ask her... what is that? Just as she wouldn't understand all the terminology in my work, I don't pretend to know all the terminology in her work. If you're not clear, ask. I don't see Dana as often as I should (I live in Chicago) but when I go in... she never scolds me for how bad my hair looks. She has a clear conversation with you and then gets to work. If you do your job as a client, she excels at her job as your stylist. This is a relationship. She even excels if you don't do your job as a client (again, saving me...
