I haven’t gone to this in years so when it popped up as a suggestion on FB I figured why not. My bestie and I went and had a ball. Lots of vendors. Prices were all over the place. Some were reasonable, some were nuts. The costume contest was great. There were guests that you could meet like Kristy McNichol. There was a podcast that was interesting, there were a lot of cool things going on in the background. I will say once it got dark it was kind of a bummer because not all the vendors had the bright lights so you were using your phone flashlight to be able to look at things on the tables. There were lots of yummy food vendors. I got some delicious fresh licorice and some kettle corn along with some ridiculously delicious tacos. Weather was perfect. Ample parking. Everyone was very helpful when we had questions. We had a blast.

Went there Saturday this is an awesome place to go. They have a lot of vendors. They have a lot of different food there as well. A massive amount of people dress up for Halloween.

Can't recommend as a vendor. I won't give too much information on what role we played at this past flea market because it's apparent the person who responds to these reviews is a prideful, egomaniac, who would probably go out of their way to blacklist us in the future for an honest review. Not that we really want to come back. Anyway, if you're looking to be a vendor, don't. It started raining cats and dogs on us this past weekend with gusts at maybe 15-20 knots. We were outside, not under a pavilion, and requested to pull our vehicle up to our spot so we could pack up and leave. Of course, this already hurt considering we spent a lot of money to be there between the price for our space, lodging, and several more expenses (side note: they are way more expensive than the competition with a much worse event, staff, and organization). So, we wanted to cut our losses and get out of there but Zurkos had a different idea. We were told we couldn't bring our vehicle to our space. I politely accepted this as their answer and tried to figure something out. Mind you, we are currently standing in a torrential downpour, with our very expensive equipment getting rained on and ruined. Then, I look to my left and see someone driving to their spot. You may be thinking that they just went against the rules and drove through anyway. Nope. They let them through, with no hassle. I asked again, and was told no. Now, I'm still remaining very respectful of the staff because I know they're in a tough spot and getting angry doesn't help anyone. So, I go back to my spot and start hiking my things through the rain and wind all the way to the main gate and into my vehicle. Next, a voice comes on the PA system saying "vendors, we will soon open the gates so you can pack up if you want." When they said "soon," they meant 2 hours from now. Naturally, a lot of people were frustrated. I am summarizing a lot here, but please understand that this was the WORST experience I've had at an event. I spoke with several other friends and family members who have had run ins with Zurkos and the overwhelming sentiment is that they care about nothing but money and, I gotta say, based on our experience I can't say I disagree. Any other event we've been to, the organizers are damn near forcing my money back in my hand and telling me to pack up to save my equipment from inclement weather. The contrast between Zurkos and LITERALLY every other organizer I've dealt with is staggering. Another thing is the security they use are unreasonable and, frankly, just rude. Just please stay away, everything about this event is awful (except for that lovely lady that handles payments and scheduling). Now, I'm sure that narcissist who responds to every bad review (even the 3 star ones that are just expressing a mild complaint) will rear his ugly head. When he does, please know that he will respond in an attempt to paint me out as being unreasonable and "looking for the perfect venue." I am not looking for "the perfect venue," genius, I'm looking for a venue that extends the same common courtesies that every single one of your competitors do. Also, before you ask, yes the "long winded review" did make me feel better. Instead of spending so much time responding to reviews with your long-winded gaslighting, maybe try taking a course on basic business management. I will make sure I tell everyone I know to stay far away from your events.

And there it is. As you can see in the response to my review, the little man said "good luck finding the perfect venue." Luckily, I know of a work around to respond to Google reviews because he definitely banks on the fact that we aren't able to respond. This is a person who does nothing but dodge responsibility. Did you read the whole review? I just said that you were letting some people drive through but denying others. Clearly safety isn't that important to you, only your pride. No need to tell me not to come to any future events, we won't be. Hopefully, one day, you learn to improve from reviews, not argue with people who can't...

First I have to say I’m a huge fan of flea markets and bargains, $10 cover charge is extremely high & over priced!food vendors where mediocre, prices unfair. Corn on the cob $5 Mexican style $8 lol yea for a spread of mayo I don’t think it’s worth $3 more. Vendors was a hit or miss. I went with 6 people 2 of us found a ā€œgoodā€ deal. No entertainment , no lights, I would definitely have to say Alsip or Chicago flea markets are far way better and much more deals. Rosemont has a huge flea market as well I mean all of the other ones $2-$3 to get in and way better food vendors and vendors in general.like I said it’s a hit or mis but when you walk in a group and we paid $60 to make out on a $20 iteam and over priced food I’d have to pass… last example I think it’s fair to say pork chops are the least expensive meat on the market right now yet a vendor was selling it for $12 different sizes not all the same weight, and just on a stick.. thought of it is really cool but I guess even $8 would be a decent price… so over all the cover charge and food prices are just way more than I was expecting at a ā€œflea market ā€œ to each its own, if you go hey you might luck out…. FYI: peaches where good but $8 a small basket maybe about 10-12 idk we all have our own expectations. This was a huge thumbs down šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼ for us. Sorry Wheaton all flea markets have employees and a property to pay this is just...
