One would think this would be a great environment for all kids not the case today. I have a 7 year old child whom is on the spectrum, my son was scared and Timid. I brought him here for him to have an fun experience and try to help get him out of his introverted shell. However he was not going fast enough (I’m very well aware of that) two young men thought it would be ok to stand there and yell at him push the peddle give it gas over and over again! Let me tell you about my son, you yell at him he’s going to shut down which he did my son then looks at me and says tell them to stop. In NOT the nicest of manners as they are still yelling, I yell back and tell them to leave him alone he’s Autistic! The say oh sorry, I should have been good until the start laughing about it. Number 1 for you to laugh at a kid in front of the kid absolutely Unacceptable. You better believe I came unhinged. I went and spoke with the manager Alex, that poor guy handled a raging mother well. He spoke to both guys. I continued to let my son try and have a good time as it was the next round one of the guys whom was previously yelling and laughing at my son was walking up checking belts I flat out told him to not touch my son. He said he needs help, I told him some one else can help him. Don’t not touch my son. He proceeds in to arguing with me over my son and does it anyways. When a parent says not to touch their child they mean it. It’s absolutely NOT OK that a person does so anyways. The kid should be fired! I was given the owners contact information left a detailed message and text with no response. I did collect my refund and left. I don’t care who you are or what you do when you tell someone to not touch your child and they do it anyways should go to jail!!! That person should be be working...
Read moreWhat a wonderful way to close out the summer! I’ve been visiting this go-kart track for many years, often bringing kids from my mentoring program, but it had been several years since my last visit. This time, I wanted to take my family along with one of my mentees, who is now a college freshman, for a fun end-of-summer outing.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the track is now under new management. The improvements are remarkable! It felt so much more organized and structured, with better equipment than I remembered. In the past, we had to buy tickets and hand them over to the operators, but now they’ve upgraded to wristbands and a card system, which made everything smoother.
The staff, mostly young high school juniors, seniors, or college students, were polite and friendly, showing great customer service that added to our enjoyment. It was heartwarming to see other families having a fantastic time as well.
The only downside I noticed was the parking situation. This place is quite popular, and the parking lot can get crowded. However, we found a spot along Pulaski Highway right outside the parking lot without any issues, so it worked out fine.
If you have a young child eager to drive or just looking for some fun, this is a great opportunity to practice and enjoy themselves. It’s also perfect for competitive kids or parents who might need a little help organizing a fun outing. Above all, it’s an excellent way to spend quality time with your family. We had a tremendous time, and I can’t...
Read more3 small ovals and a really poor 9-hole mini golf course.
The fast track cars are in a variety of conditions - some of them barely go faster than walking speed, others are what I expect from a small go-kart place. Most are somewhat damaged, although I don't think they're unsafe. Also, to tandem drive with my daughter cost us 2 tickets.
The junior track is an oval, slanted, about 20 feet by 40 feet, with 4 cars for the kids under about 42". It was my daughters first experience go-karting by herself - she's ridden tandem with me numerous times and loves it - and didn't have enough upper body strength to turn the wheel, so be forwarned. However, she doesn't want to go back, she wants to go back to the track at Crofton on Route 3. (The one in Crofton only charges $.50 extra for a tandem car.)
Slick track is the best they've got, and it's not bad....but honestly, without a Groupon, don't even consider wasting your time (and it might still be a waste - I sold 3 of our 9 tickets for $5, because our daughter just plain didn't like it.)
People are nice, food is overpriced and poor, but you expect that.
Want a better experience? Go up route 94 in Pennsy, or the...
