I took my grandson there yesterday to ride the 5 Mile loop. It was very nice, not too crowded, very polite people. The only thing that happened was we nearly got hit by a limb coming down from a tree. I believe the tree is mostly dead and this limb came crashing down just as we went under it. Thank goodness we were not hit. I could hear it cracking. We got off our bikes and moved it off the macadam. I do see that they maintain this trail very well, I think it's just because we've had so much rain and bad storms recently. Perhaps the next time when they do clean up, they should look up and see if there is dead limbs up there and perhaps they can address...

A mostly flat round paved trail that takes you on a 5.5 mile trip around whitehall and through dark town a small area on the out skirts of whitehall. You will go past two nice parks that the kids can play in and many scenic locations including benchs position near the creek that the trail follows for awile. If your looking for a longer walk or bike ride, the off spur near the trail head adds an additional 5 + miles of scenic, mostly wooded trail and some remaining train building to see. This trail does not loop and you will need to walk back down it when done. Walker, joggers, bikers, and dog walkers all share this trail so remember to be...

One of our favorites to bike. Can do the full spur and loop, or just one (and make it as long or short as you'd like). Paved for easy riding with just a few small hills. Interesting artifacts along the way (making for great "break time" locations for the kids). Most of the "congestion" was along the loop trail, and there are a number of street crossings, but most cars are respectful. They recently expanded their parking on Chestnut Street, which was a welcome addition. Also, the parking on Chestnut Street and on Levans Rd both have port-a-potties and a bike repair spot with...

New favorite trail. It's all paved, flat with a long straight away and a loop at the end if you begin at the park pavilion. The trail starts behind the baseball and basketball courts. It's mostly shaded, some areas do go across streets or have a street on one side, but it is flanked by trees for the most part. As it's paved and long, it is also popular for bike riding. This is not rugged or a difficult trail so if you wanted to bring your active grandparents or little kids for a long walk, this is perfect.

Beautiful paved trail. My visit today was on the portion passing under MacArthur Road. To trail head on the east side has a pavilion which can be rented from the township. About a quarter mile to the west of the pavilion is a junction of two branches of the trail. The branch to the right leads to an unrestored historic combination passenger and baggage car how about 100 yards west of the highway overpass.
