Weis Markets — Local services in Whitehall

I have alway enjoyed to buy my groceries at Weis Supermarket, very organized and clean Store, not to mention the variety of the products. But today 5/22/2020 I had an horrible experience at the McArthur Rd Store location. They had the lines to pay set between the ailes, the instructions were not visible to me because I was coming from the Deli area. I was not able to see there were people in line as they were waiting through the last ailes of the Store. When I was heading to the cashier to pay, a lady (an employee ) yelled at me, indicating there were people waiting before me, I was totally in shock the way the women yelled and screamed at me like that!!! it was so disrespectful!!! I was so embarrassed, she made everybody think I did planned to jump in front of the line. I walked towards the lady calmly and explained to her I did not see the people waiting between the aisle since I was coming from the opposite way of the store, and she didn't even apologized to me looking at me with that angry face and hate. I am not used to write bad reviews because I do not like to complain about someone who is working hard, but this was so unacceptable and abusive that I do not want something like this happen again to anyone. This person has to learn how to be respectful and be professional with the customers...She should had came to me and speak to me decently and show me where the line was instead of yelling at me making me feel like garbage. I used to live in Emmaus and I used to go to Weis over there and I know for sure this would had never happened in that location. I will never go back to Weis...

I am a regular at this market. My experiences for the most part have always been pleasurable until this week. I went to the market to purchase some deli meat and cheese for my husband. When I arrived at the counter the older woman behind the counter stared at me as if she was upset that I was standing there in line waiting to be serviced. I waited as all were busy serving other customers and there was one person before me. When the deli rep was done she again walked past me towards the other customer but not before giving me a dirty look. The other younger girl came to service me. She was pleasant and polite that is the only reason I gave them a two star instead of a one. As she was servicing me the other woman jumps on the machine to cut someone else order all the while staring at me and giving me a dirty look. I was appalled at her rudeness and mind you other customers noticed what she did. Perhaps she was having a bad day but coming from a fortune 500 company where customer service was always on the forefront of our minds she should have set her personal problems and bias aside and serviced the customer with a warm smile. I always dread going into this Weis location! I only shop this location because of convenience. This location & Cedar crest locations are terrible. Weis is over priced and staffed with horrible, Rude employees.. Always make sure to check expiration dates when shopping here! Every single shopping experience during my self service checkout the cashier “Jen” seems to make it her mission to stare me down & badger. There can be six other customers at self checkout. An has even had the nerve to have employees her Co-Friends pester during my checkout. I didn’t realize self checkout was a workplace show. She’s discriminative as hell. Personally, I don’t appreciate people being in my personal space or looking over my shoulder! I don’t come to pick up groceries with a side of annoyance.
