This is now the Coplay Eatery, formerly known as Paulie's Family Restaurant. My husband's parents like this place and I can see why. Friendly greeting upon entering, and seated. The MENU...You're sure to find something you'll like. My Father in-law had the Prime rib (gave me a case of the shoulda woulda's) Mother in-law had the Salmon, Husband had the Rockfish and I had the fried clams. WOW, is all I can say. ALL the entree's served looked delicious, the portions were nice. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Our waitress was wonderful. The establishment was very clean. The owner pays attention to detail. Ask about the Senior nights you won't be disappointed. WOW, I almost forgot the desserts !!! The cheesecake *****, The eclair ***** The apple pie ***** GO ~~~~

My family that lives in Coplay eats here all the time, but this was my first trip to the Eatery. It definitely has that hometown feel as it seemed like everyone knew everyone else. The staff was very friendly and our server helped me select from the varied menu. I had the homemade soup, salad and a fantastic plate of chicken parmesan!! Crispy, tender, well seasoned and juicy, I definitely recommend the chicken parm! Our server said it was the most popular dish and I see why. My granddaughter ordered the chicken ranch panini with avocado with fries and was very happy 😊. The bathrooms are clean and there is a parking lot, but be aware that when it's busy, parking on the street versus their lot will probably be a better choice.

This place is a hidden gem in the valleys world of diner/eateries. Pricing is standard and well thought out. The portions are fantastic and the food is fresh and the cooking oil follows the same pattern. Atmosphere is not bad either...holiday decor is well represented and tastefully adorns the walls. The menu is expensive and has a slight Mediterranean flair...(grape leaves anyone?)The big standout is the service. We got there at shift change and we're waiting about 5 minutes before the owner approached the table to explain the delay and take our drink and appetizer orders. Customer service is outstanding to say the least. Drive past the other diners on MacArthur Rd to get to this place....you will not regret it!😃

I’m giving a one star because service is what makes your meal enjoyable and our service was awful tonight. I’ve always enjoyed coming to this place to eat and brought many friends and family with me to enjoy the food and service. Tonight my granddaughter and I stopped in for dinner and while the food was good the service was awful. My granddaughter got the spaghetti and meatballs no sauce (she doesn’t like sauce) with no salad or bread and none was offered and it was the adult size platter. I guess I should have looked at what came with her meal, but I can’t imagine bread or a salad didn’t and the waitress didn’t stick around for us to ask. I knew what came with my meal and got it. Waitress deliver my salad and we didn’t have any silverware and I had to get some from the table aside of us. I was in the rest room when she deliver my salad. She was to busy with her back to us and I tried to get there attention, but no one bother to look at me even with my hands flying. My granddaughter wanted more to drink, but our waitress was again to busy talking to the manager with her back to us to bother asking us if we needed refills, I got up and went to the counter and got her the drink myself. Then I had to wave down another waiter who was standing in a group with that manager talking and laughing , but finally one looked up and saw me waving and asked from across the room what I needed and I said our waitress. We wanted a piece of pie to go and our check. I did leave a 20% tip which I later regretted, because I’m sure she thinks I was pleased with her service, because I left that tip when in fact I was far from pleased with her and the service we received. And, as the manager or whoever he was he should know better to sit there and aloud his waitress to treat his patrons in this manner. I would have said more when I was there, but felt like it wouldn’t have matter since it didn’t seem to bother that manager when all he did was encourage his workers to sit with him and turn their backs on customers. I’ll come in again and hope the service isn’t what is was tonight and if it is I won’t come in again. She was a terrible waitress, but I guess you get what the owner or manager or whoever he was expects from...

The food is very very good, the place is decorated nice, but sitting in the first room is not relaxing. People running in to pick up orders, people in line to pay, waiters are in and out of the kitchen constantly. Our waitress was way to busy to get our beverage order, she seemed very unorganized. A waitress running all over, looks stressed. She finally took our order after a long wait, then it was another long time to get our soup and salad. She brought both out all at once, which was odd. She was saving time for herself. Then, We had those dirty dishes piled on the table for another 10-25 minutes. Our main course was brought out before our other dirty dishes were picked up. I had to ask her to remove them… we were at a small table. We were never offered a another beverage. We were very patient this whole time! A man next to us was given a beverage with no straw, he asked twice, and finally got up to go over to the beverage area to ask the person there for one. And one final thing, When I was a teen, I was a bus kid for three years. We had procalls. The hostess was our boss, my mom was a waitress, there were 3. We ran a tight ship and no one complained. These kids here work like it was their first day with No training. I got a birdseye view because I could see everything going on. The day we were there, the staff just wasn’t in sinc with the customers.

I will say again, the food is very good, and a nice menu. And the male waiter I could tell, was really the best. He worked very hard, and...

Update: management reconciled extremely well and I appreciate that! :)

The food was absolutely cooked to perfection and everything was delicious. Probably some of the best breakfast food I’ve ever gotten in the Lehigh Valley. However, service makes or breaks your experience in a restaurant. As a server for many years myself, I hold high standards when it comes to service. Our service was not great, not good even. The server didn’t smile one time and seemed to have a chip on her shoulder or an attitude. I had my first bad feeling when she was taking our order and didn’t write anything down- we had substitutions and special instructions which in my opinion should always be written down for assurance. Food comes out and of course those substitutions were not met, and we had a couple of missing things. She did apologize but it didn’t seem sincere which in customer service I feel like friendliness always goes a long way. Especially for it being our first time here, you really hope for a great experience. I hope if we decide to come back for the spectacular food, we receive better service! As a server I wouldn’t have blamed my partner if he decided not to tip because the service was just that disappointing, but he was still in my opinion generous with the tip based on the service we received. Hoping for a better experience- and to the owners please know how important it is for your business to hire friendly, thorough, and adequate servers. It can truly make or...
