I love this park! It's always very clean and I've met some of the nicest people out there! I've seen one dog fight and it was the owners fault for bringing his dog when he knows its aggressive. I've had one issue and that was a guy who owns 3 Great Danes. They're beautiful and super friendly but they hound my 50 pound dog. They're a pack so the 3 of them stay together and harrass other dogs who don't stand much of a chance when the three of these giants surround one dog and bully them. My boy tried to be very patient and run off away from them to play but they wouldn't let up no matter which direction he tried to go which almost caused a fight. The owner did nothing so I yelled at them to get away so we could leave before a fight broke out but they didnt pay attention. The dogs were sweet but needed to be stopped and redirected by the owner. As for people who say there's dog poop, well, its a dog park! I go almost every day and the place is always clean and beautiful. The people who go there are usually right on it if their dogs go potty and clean it up right away. When I go, I usually go at night and I always grab a few poop bags and carry them with me not only to clean up after my pup but also if I do see any "unclaimed " poop, I just pick it up and toss it. I love that they have water spigots in each play area with buckets so the dogs have clean water at all times. One thing to be mindful of is that there is one large front run that has a sign posted on the gate that says it's for small dogs, under 35 pounds BUT that's only certain months of the year. It's clearly posted on the gate with the months and restrictions listed but I saw a man with some small dogs in there get really angry when a woman with a sweet, big dog went in there. He said she was in an area reserved for small dogs under 35 pounds only, which is true but only during specific months of the year. I don't blame him for being upset, he was just worried about his little ones getting hurt but he handnt read the sign in its entirety and the woman was correct. To avoid those issues, please pay attention to the signs. As for safety, I'm 56 and I go late at night with my boy and I feel completely safe! There are always lots of people, they're clean and friendly, their dogs appear healthy and well cared for. The walking track is awesome!! Super clean, level and like the rest of the park, it's very well maintained. You can get some exercise in while your pups have...
Read moreIt is amazing dog park where I believe the whole complete community is called horseman Park or something like that. Bottom line it is well kept there's at least seven different sections fenced off for just small dogs medium dogs large dogs aggressive dogs and three sections for a mixture of small and large dogs together. They keep it very clean but some visitors do not pick up after their dogs so depending on the time of the day it can get dirty with dog poop but they clean it every morning. I believe the hours are from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. they do have lights also everybody is very friendly many do not wear masks so just be aware if you want to be protected wear your mask. There are lots of trash cans dog poop bags and water buckets for your animals also benches and lots of trees for shade. most people are very responsible and everybody seems to be very friendly but if you go on the weekend expect an extremely large amount of dogs so I do not recommend going on the weekend if it is your first time to visit the dog park. I suggest trying it out for minutes to an hour sometime during the week and then you will be prepared for the weekend.
Lastly and most important be aware that it is an off-leash dog park so whatever happens in the dog park stays in the dog park meaning if you have an aggressive dog or a passive dog and it gets attacked or in a fight with another dog the police will not respond and animal control will not respond it is kind of like a buyer...
Read moreIt's one of my favorite dog parks. It has wheelchair accessible parking and paths along the 2 small-medium dog sections. There's a picnic table in a couple of the sections and benches in the others. Although there are no sun covers, there are several trees in which you can get shade. There are water fountains and spickets so dogs have accessible water. They have 💩 bags and trash bins for them, which too many times people don't use 😞, but should! There is a main area with a dirt path around it for pet parents to exercise and walk the park while their dogs follow along, or the pups may get distracted by other dogs and engage in ball play. The amount of pitbulls and un-neutered male dogs has decreased substantially & maybe that's due to the winter season, but it makes the park so much safer & fun for the other dogs that like to socialize. I forgot to mention that there is also an upper parking lot in which they have a wheelchair ramp with rails for safety to bring you down to all the main dog sections as well as access to a covered park picnic table area which is great for resting, meet and greets, etc. There is a restroom available in case you decide to...
