I visit Williamsburg 2x a year. I've used this property 4 out of the 7 times under my Interval membership. I've been coming to Williamsburg with my family because of the terrific front desk staff and prompt attention I receive from maintenance when something goes wrong. I'm still on the property and I have to say that the visit this year has been subpar. It's not due to the service I receive from maintenance and the front desk, but from housekeeping. The living room was filthy. I didn't say anything. There were dirty dishes and I didn't say anything. There was hair on the towels and a dirty bathtub in the master bedroom😆 🤣 and I still said nothing. A kids toy under the couch? What, yep true story 😆 I'll leave it there for the next kid. I'll tell you more about that further down. They didn't bother to clean. The couch smelled like cigarettes. I covered it up and didn't say anything SMH. They didn't bother cleaning this house. I worked with it. I had no choice because I was a late arrival. I'm definitely going to have to say something now. I've no choice....Regardless, it was obvious, housekeeping slam dunked the lack of attention to this house. In the Navy we called it skating. That's what they did. When I needed a large pot to cook for my family I had to use every pot and glass bowl in the house to prepare a meal because they didn't have a pot to give me. The pot I had was scratched up and peeling. A really cool guy picked it up and they sent out 2 poor lady's in a span of 3 hours in the rain and cold to give me a sauce pan, a frying pan and the same pot that was peeling as to say to hell with him. I think I may have upset them with my attention to details. Let them eat nonstick chips with their food. It ain't nothing wrong with them pots! 😆 I honestly believe they didn't even try, and were trying to ignore me. I delayed preparing the meal for 3 hours! I have never made this many calls at any property. This is almost comical. They said they have no more pots. That's weird for a large property. I received a new frying pan to use which was good because I didn't have that neither because it was chipped and burnt...Guess what, I improvised before they gave me a decent frying pan to cook in. If this keeps up, I'll still keep coming here but I guess the next time I'll buy my own pots and towels and travel with them 😆. The daggone dishwasher was off track and a cool maintenance guy who was very patient because he made multiple trips to my room, came out to fix it. There were just too many details that wasn't payed attention to. The light in the living room wouldn't turn on the second day. This is because the plug from the lamp that was connected to an outlet in the floor beneath the couch, tripped the fuse box and knocked out everything in the living room. Ok now that was new. It was completely broken when maintenance slid the couch😆. How did housekeeping not catch something like that which could've started a fire? I'll tell you. They probably never clean underneath the couch. When the maintenance employee moved the couch, that's where the childs toy was at. The housekeeping is just god awful. The front desk, ahhh man I love those guys, all but 1 rude dude whom I won't name because people need their jobs!!! Let's just say it wasn't the really cool and groovy gentleman that checked me in when I arrived late and the beautiful ladies at the front desk and opposite side of the office, and my friend with a really far out unique and terrific name. The greetings staff for activities! THE BOMB. The rooms are 5 star for comfort, but the housekeeping gets the ⛽️ face...They suck, they stink and any other word that's bad without the use of profanity...
Read moreI have many things to say about this place and none of them are pleasant. I would not recommend this place to stay or to purchase a timeshare at to ANYONE!
I want to start off by saying that my family and I did show up hours before check in, but we were NOT expecting to be checked in that early. We got there around 10AM (we drove overnight to get here. Again, we were not expecting to get check in then and there.) We checked in and gave our name and number and they said we’d get a call when our room was ready. They said it may or may not be ready before 4:00, but it will definitely be ready by 4:00.
4:00 Finally rolls around and lo and behold, the room is not ready. Families coming before and after us miraculously all got checked in but not us. I understand that everyone has their own assigned place, but maybe knowing that these customers have been here since 10:00 AM, you’d speed up their cleaning? Just a thought! The customer service was not helpful at all and was very blameful on us. We mentioned how every other hotel and resort we’ve stayed at in the past has been able to check us in by our check in time, if not before. The manager, Sal, proceeded to tell us word for word: “you guys have just been lucky.” Is that any way to talk to a customer? Not an ounce of sympathy anywhere in his voice. He was placing blame on his cleaning company since it was an “outside source.” Maybe be assertive with them and tell them you have a family who is here past check in and needs their room to be ready? He kept telling us “Oh, they don’t know when it will be ready.” Get a new service if they aren’t working for you. If I need to be checked out of my room by 10:00 AM PROMPTLY, I expect my room to be ready for me by 4:00 PM. Customer service was plain horrible to me and my family. When talking to another worker at the counter, sadly I did not get her name, she told us our complaints were “our perogarive.” The only “accommodations” they could give us was a check out time of 12:00 PM instead of 10:00 AM. AS IF!!!
They told us they weren’t sure when our room would be ready so we left the resort to drive around. Not even five minutes later, I received a call saying the room was ready. What changed in five minutes??? I can assure you nothing.
Finally, we got our keys. We begin driving to our cottage and we are looking for our place. We see a bunch of cleaning ladies walking out with trash bags from a house on our street. Surely it can’t be ours, right? Wrong!! It was ours!!! They were still cleaning our room as we were pulling up and parking. Upon entering the house, you could tell it was recently cleaned. The dishwasher was still running, the cycle was just started. Granted it was empty and they must’ve been running it to clean it, but the full cycle shows that this was a last minute clean from them. This is the most unprofessional place that I have ever seen. The pillows were so small. I found some hairs on my bed. One of the bathrooms didn’t have any toilet paper. And the tv didn’t even work! On top of this, every hotel ever has free, private wifi. This one has wifi, but it is public, so it’s not secure.
Now onto the cottage. It looks nothing like the pictures. Had I known this is what I would have been getting, I would have booked somewhere else.
I’d like to end my review with a quote that I overheard from my across the street neighbor upon walking into their cottage for the week: “I can already tell my decision about this place, they can stick it where the sun...

Just another timeshare pyramid scheme in a pretty package with a different name to suck you dry..
I can't leave any stars. On December 30, 20424 Im fell for the trap, and put down a deposit, and was promised dinner for 2 at the restaurant they were set up at which was Captain George's in Williamsburg, Va.,ney back (they didn't say how) a 3 day 2 nite say, a longer 1 week stay at certain locations of my choice. I asked about room size and group size limits before I committed I was told that the trips covered up to a two-room suite condo and for extra charge could be up to 3:. All I had to do was attend there 90 minute seminar on their chain of resorts. What sucked me in about the offer was the choice that we had to attend the seminar before the vacation stays so you just can focus on seeing how you like the facility.
I attended, the seminar on January 4th at Kings Creek Resort buy Spinnaker resorts. We were only sent to the main office and sat in a room to watch a video and then talk to death about their system that I explained at the end of this review. We were never even given a tour of amenities or the property or lodging facilities to even look at to even make a decision on whether or not it might be something we're interested in. At the end I was given gift cards for the dinner of two to the restaurant, a basic Visa gift card with limitation on ways to utilize it's, and you can't even use for online purchase. To reimburse me for the actual cash deposit that I put down, and then a tiny slip of paper with an email address on it, and was told I would be sent an email for my trip packages and to respond accordingly based on that email and directions on that tiny piece of paper, and That I had 6 months to respond and activate these trips, and one year to use them.
Never received the email, I tried to call the number that I was given affiliated with the resort that I attended the seminar with I got no answer ever, I called the person that I physically gave the cash to and sold me this "quote on quote deal" his response was to let him check into it and he would get back with me he never called me back, I will no longer answer my calls, I tried texting and calling the salesman that was speaking with me after we finished the video of the seminar, and no answer and no response.. I still have the receipt with the promises that this man gave me on how much money I put down and how many night stays I have for both the deals once I get home I will include photos of these items..
This resort chain is just another timeshare money trap in a shiny new package with a. Different name... Point system of a yearly amount of total points. To use at many locations, and vacations several times a year at any location.. different location stays are worth a set amount of points. With promises that you will earn more money than you invest by selling your points you don't...
