Virginia’s Largest Water Park: Water Country USA 📍Williamsburg, VA With 43 acres of pools, water play areas & water rides, Water Country USA is the largest water park the Mid-Atlantic!! ❓What do *YOU* want to know about Water Country? Drop it below & I’ll help you out! 🌊 If you want my guide on visiting Water Country USA with kids, let me know in the comments! ⏱️ FAST FACTS⏱️ 1️⃣ It has over 40 attractions. Our favorites are Hubba Hubba Highway, The Wave Pool, Jet Scream, Cut Back Coaster & Big Daddy Falls. 2️⃣ It’s 43 acres, so there’s a lot of walking. Wear water shoes - you can wear them on most of the water attractions. 3️⃣ It has a capacity limit. Even if it doesn’t reach it, it’s going to be crowded on summer Saturdays & Sundays. The popular water rides had 1-2h wait during our visit. Visit on week days or cloudy days for easy access to attractions. 4️⃣ If visiting on a weekend, get there at opening or stay til closing. The crowd was gone by 7pm. You can jump on any ride w/ no wait. Horrible place If you are a man and come here Expect to be excused for you existence You will be removed from the premise just for existing here and walking around

I got removed with multiple police officers or whatever you wanna call these guys just for existing

They had zero definable reason why they removed me from the location

Absolutely zero reason and I asked them multiple times what I did wrong and they had no answer so they said well. You need to leave this premise.

They are aggressive demonic humans

But seriously, there was no definition of how I offended them not one, they assumed I did evil because I was walking up steps and I said hi to a girl that was 15 and I said I used to have a work permit when I was 15 as well. I work in tree removal . Then because I talked to this human, I committed a crime I suppose I have no idea what the crime was but they believe I did some evil.

Anyways, I only asked definitively what I did wrong so that I wouldn’t do it again and they had no answer So they decided to remove me from the Park I suppose the answer was do not talk to people, if I knew that I’d offended someone I would’ve stopped talking and I said that as well, I care for protecting people I told them you assumed the person who was complaining was correct

What is most horrid is spending money to come someplace to enjoy the environment to then be removed. Just because I had a conversation with someone who I had no intention of farming. I didn’t even approach physically the person, nor asked them for anything personal and I apologize if I did something wrong to that person, but I had no idea The Assumption that I did something evil just for existing is vile

What’s a sad world we live in That talking to someone is a crime

If I sensed any uncomfortability in her, I would have left immediately. The conversation may be lasted a minute 30 seconds.

Anyways, the police or whatever they’re called assumed something wrong even though they absolutely had no definitive explanation for what I did wrong and I got removed from the Park just asking what did I do wrong so I don’t do it again I guess I made them look foolish, and they don’t have an answer and I suppose they will comment and say Blah blah blah you’re very presence is a crime. well then close down the park and don’t let The adults come in and refuse their monetary benefits

And when the fake police showed up, I was very kind to them. I didn’t swear at them or do anything to them. I have no idea why they were offended and they had no explanation either

If I actually did something wrong, legally wrong, I accept it. But just existing is not a crime and people should not be so irritated that they believe the offended

Hasn’t anyone had an offended person accuse them of something that wasn’t true?

So why the Assumption that a person complained is correct

Ultimately, I do not care about this except that I spent a lot of time coming here, hoping that I could just relax

But the fact that being accused gives right to the offended to attack me, it is exceptionally sexist and assuming of evil in spite of what someone has done

I dare any of them to accuse me for something that they saw, I could accuse people of things falsely, but I will not .

Anyways seriously a group of bullies kicked me out though they had no definitely reason too

I agreed to their bizarre terms I simply asked them what I did wrong And their answer

You talked to someone under 18

That was my crime

I’ve worked with youth my whole life

I’m sorry

They sucks their position to believe the offended is hearsay

Also, I should be refunded for my finances spent

I despise the world where men are assume evil just for existing in place!

I literally was just out walking, not close to anyone. I absolutely cannot think of any error.

I highly encourage this organization to reconsider who they hire and their belief in hearsay also and the accusation of people who are paying their bills to exist

If I was the security, I would say this person felt uncomfortable. Do not talk to them. That...

My visit on Aug. 2, 2025 was good, but there were setbacks such as locker issues, rides being out of service, lack of communication from staff members, confusing/nonsensical rules, and a lack of rafts/floats for certain rides.

The locker rental machine kept saying our credit/debit card authorization failed. Another customer said she had the same issue at one of the machines, so she used another one. Shortly after, an employee told us there was some sort of outage or issue with the WiFi, making transactions unavailable until IT fixed the issue. When we regrouped and tried again to get lockers, we ended up having to get 4 lockers total (a mixture of large and standard since jumbo lockers were sold out).

There were multiple rides out of service during this visit, including the wave pool for at least an hour (I believe there was a generator issue) and Aquazoid Amped (the slide with cool lights and special effects). We really wanted to get on the light-up slide, so that was disappointing. I also noticed that the Cow-A-Bunga: Cool Splash Zone for Kids was closed (no water or anything in the area either). I suspect that was because they’re renovating or they wanted the focus to be on their newest addition (High Tide Harbor). The 6-year-old we took to the High Tide Harbor had a blast there though. It’s pretty big, there are three huge buckets that fill with water and fall onto guests, and it’s easy to spot your kid as they’re running around having fun.

One of my biggest gripes with today’s visit was the raft/float issue. There seem to be many rides at the park that require floats but not enough to go around. There were multiple rides where we had to wait at the bottom for people to come down the slides, gather themselves, and then give us their rafts so we could then walk up the stairs with them and get in line. Meanwhile there are corners near the rides where deflated rafts are sitting in a pile. There is also a lack of communication among employees. They act as if you’re supposed to know what’s going on in their heads. When I was trying to get on the Malibu Pipeline, I thought I had to wait in the main area behind the lifeguards to get someone’s raft. Apparently you are supposed to wait off to the side so they can hand it to you there. Had they simply had a sign or had an employee there to let us know, we would’ve done as instructed. The young lady working over there had to tell multiple groups (including mine) that we needed to wait off to the side. If you have to keep telling different people that, maybe the issue is your lack of communication and direction. It seems like Water Country needs to invest in more rafts, and better communication or signage.

This leads me to another issue I had. I normally love the Hubba Hubba Highway: Lazy River Ride. My favorite thing to do on lazy river rides is put on a life vest and just float. At Water Country, you can’t do that. You have to have a raft, and there aren’t enough to go around. This leads to a backup of people just waiting by the entrance for someone to get off and give you a raft (which may or may not happen because there’s not a limit on how many times you can go around the river).

The food we had was really good. I ordered a burger and fries, as well as a drink. They have this new thing they’re doing where you buy a cup, then go to the soda fountain and activate it by scanning a QR code on the cup. Only after you scan the QR code will you be able to dispense your drink into the cup. This would be great if the machines worked properly. I heard multiple customers complain that they went to get drinks and when they scanned the QR code, the machine said “invalid.” Mine worked and said “1 refill left” or something of that variation, but it stopped dispensing before I could fill up my cup to the top. Very annoying.

Overall, we managed to have a great day despite the issues we encountered throughout the visit. I do wish Water Country would either get more rafts or put up signs letting people know where to wait due to the lack of...

I've visited Water Country USA several times and generally had fun, but the park has some recurring issues, especially with layout. The design is frustrating and inefficient. Attractions that appear close together often aren’t directly connected, forcing you to walk long distances unnecessarily. You end up doing laps just to get from one place to another. It’s surprising, considering how well-planned Busch Gardens is next door.

My most recent visit took place on an exceptionally hot day, high of 98°F with a real feel of 112°F, and the park seemed completely unprepared. We booked a shaded umbrella area near the wave pool to ensure my pregnant wife could stay cool and comfortable. For $109, the package included seating, two locker vouchers, food credits, and exclusive access monitored by an attendant, or so it claimed.

Upon arrival, there was no attendant in sight, and it wasn’t clear where to check in. After tracking it down ourselves, we received two $15 locker vouchers but no instructions. When we tried to use them at the kiosk, they didn’t work, returning an error as if they had already been redeemed. Locker prices were $25 small, $30 large, and $40 jumbo, so why the don't simply give one voucher for a large locker remains a mystery.

We turned to Guest Relations, hoping they could quickly sort things out. Instead, it turned into one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Only one window was open despite the long line of guests forming in the direct sun, and no one acknowledged the growing crowd or the conditions. There was no shade, no water nearby, and no urgency from staff.

When I finally got to the window and explained the issue, the staff member looked at my voucher like I’d handed her a piece of foreign currency. She seemed completely lost and made no effort to find a solution. A second staff member, who may have been a supervisor, came over. Rather than taking charge or assisting, she dismissed the issue entirely with an attitude, telling me I had to go to the gift shop near the lockers. Her tone was rude and condescending, and instead of resolving the issue, she passed the buck without any apology or empathy.

Frankly, this was unacceptable. Guest Relations should be the one place where problems are handled professionally, efficiently, and with courtesy. Instead, I was brushed off and I was left to stand in yet another line. This is not how customers should be treated. The lack of initiative, poor communication, and unprofessional demeanor from Guest Relations was a major letdown.

Thankfully, the gift shop staff were competent and resolved the issue. But I shouldn’t have had to navigate a maze of indifferent employees to get something as basic as a locker.

Beyond that, low staffing was a theme all day. No one ever showed to monitor the reserved umbrella area, even though wristbands were required. Several food stations were closed, making the remaining ones overwhelmed. The food quality itself was disappointing. My burger was dry and flavorless, the bun was stale, and the toppings were a joke. My wife’s pepperoni flatbread was okay, but we couldn’t even share because there were no plastic knives. When I asked, a staff member gave a baffling response that “the knives were outside the park.”

Water refill options were another problem. Most drink stations were closed, and the fountains with water bottle fillers were turned off, completely unacceptable on such a dangerously hot day.

In summary, Water Country USA is a fun park with good rides, but it’s held back by poor planning, terrible customer service (especially at Guest Relations), and lack of preparation for extreme weather. It has potential but it needs major improvements in management, staffing, and guest support to be worth the price...
