On a rainy day after visiting the Ark, the kids and I were searching for something fun to do when we stumbled onto the William Arnold Log House. We figured it was worth checking out, and we were not disappointed. Such a cool piece of history, excellently preserved, and the woman working there was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend popping in if you're in the area. Definitely worth a visit!

While at the Ark Encounter, we looked for additional historic areas and found this little piece of history, just one and a half miles away. Very nice lady attending to the visitors was very informative. Kids enjoyed looking at the artifacts and the old wardrobes and building.

Es pequeña y tiene varios utensilios antiguos. Muestra una historia de un señor que aportó mucho a su país. Nos gustó. Solo que en nuestro caso no hablamos inglés y la persona que estaba solo nos mostró unos volantes con información. Bueno hubiera sido poder escuchar la historia que envuelve la casa. Pero realmente es una linda experiencia para vivir en familia. No tiene costo, solo dejas propina según consideres.

Lovely little log home. The ladies who work there are so knowledgeable and full of history. I stop there often and learn something new everytime I'm in there. Definitely worth the time if you want something to do in Grant County. If you are in town for the Arc Encounter, be sure to put this place...
