While in the Williamstown KY area, my wife & I wanted to have some really good, fresh ice cream, at a shop with a wonderful local atmosphere. At Kentucky Y'all Icebox, we found really good local ice cream served up in the most wonderful atmosphere. They also have other delectable treats, such as jams, apple butter and Modjeskas (exquisite hand-crafted caramels). The shop is outfitted with a nice variety of retro and handmade decorations, and has a children's corner with antique school desks, coloring sheets and crayons, with examples displayed on the wall. During a conversation with owner Rachelle and her employee Elijah,we learned some fascinating local history.

And the most awesome, quaint, well displayed array of antiques as well as pictures colored by children on the wall. They also have special days for different groups of people. The website showed it as opened, but when we drove by it didn't look open, so I called. The owner was so accommodating. She insisted that we wait right there and she would meet us in 5 minutes. She opened up just for us. The ice cream was so good and the atmosphere was quaint and inviting. She said her spring and summer hours they would be open 6 days a week.
