Always something to do or see!!! FISH, FROGS. BIRDS WHO KNOWS... I always believed growing up it was a place the Indians lived when they first came??? Yes,,,No,,, Slow down always relax.. remember its Isle of lights time so u (can't go freely into the park during this event just during event hours)..enjoy the lights!!!, makes us appreciate our special little slice of heaven all that more when it opens back up... Hey my pictures were taken during the Fog...SooooFun

Winfieldens will all miss our favorite person, the man who took care of us all!!! RICK MEYER....Thank you Rick, I dont think we will ever know 1/2 the things you did for us (family, we call Winfield ks...) I am writing this after the fact and slowly,,, I have definitely noticed all over town little things that just don't get done & have come to realize that was Rick, probably just did it for free as a town service even... I always suspected it but I know it now!!! God...

Is this still the premiere Park in Winfield Kansas. My family used one of the Pavillions in the park. Hope and Sage were amazing helping with my reservation and details. There are no rental fees for the space. However, if you are interested in renting one of the park shelters, call Cowley County Land offices. There are plenty of shaded grounds, shelters ( big and small), a very nice playground, and an area to fish if you prefer. The duck and geese definitely make themselves at home in those spaces. Cleaning them before your event is a must. Some of the larger pavillions have electrical access, but I don't know if the smaller ones do. There is also a small amphitheater. Whether or not this space can be rented for concerts will have to be a question for Cowley County land offices. Next time you're in Winfield, take drive or stroll through the park. Of course, at Christmas, the "Isle of Lights" display is one of the...

Best park in my opinion for small children in this area.

Don't know at this point how many times it has been set on fire and rebuilt. You can't tell.

There are many things to do and play on. The ground is that soft squishy material also. So that is nice!!

I recommend play dates. Or just taking a friend for the child to play with. We all need and like to socialize. Lol even when we were little.

Better than playing alone.

But you can play by yourself and have lots of fun too, by just using your imagination.

Down side it in Winfield, KS, And on the far north side of Winfield as you are leaving town...

Named a state treasure by Kansas! magazine, this mile-long drive-thru light display in Island Park is a Winfield Tradition you don't want to miss. New displays are added every year, making it exciting to see time and time again. 🎄 #christmaslights #lightdisplay #isleoflights #winfieldisleoflights #familytraditions #christmastraditions #roadtripideas #christmasvacation #familytime #familytravel #winfieldks #travelks #cowleycounty #kansas #winfield

This is a cute little park in Winfield. It actually does have a bout an 8 mile hiking trail and a nature trail that is an easy trail to hike. It’s not as nice as some trails but not too bad. It does have a levee which I thought was cool. I was happy to find a longer trail to hike in Kansas that had some steeper hills. The best thing about this park is their Isle of lights Christmas light festival-it’s a must see. It’s free with a small donation of your choice. It’s all interactive and set to music -it’s pretty amazing g for a drive through light show and only crowded during certain times.
