When my Polish mother lived up North, she loved visiting this museum as she loves getting in touch with her Polish heritage.
She now lives in Texas, so she doesn't get to visit, so I did the next best thing, and ordered some Christmas gifts from this museum.
We had a mix up, and stuff happens, especially during a pandemic, so after not receiving the package after the scheduled arrival, they informed me it got lost in shipment.
So they made it right and, in fact, they made it better! I can't wait to give these gifts to my mother on Christmas!

Read moreThis place is a trip. I went to Winona with no intentions of going to the polish museum, but when we walked by and it was free admission we said "why not?" It is really cool because it isn't like a traditional museum. Everything is out in the open, not under glass or behind bars. Don't miss the upstairs! It seems like an afterthought to be honest. They shared a great deal of information with us, and even personal stories of their own Polish families and experiences. The greatest point of interest for us was the amazing collection of Catholic church pieces and information, located on the top floor.
