Harbor Freight — Attraction in Winterville

HF had a sale on their larger cement mixer. I had visited the store 3x so far, with their deliveries coming on Tuesdays. An older gentleman working there advised me how they still did not have the mixer in. I asked if I'm supposed to just keep coming in on Tuesday mornings to see if they received one or could I order one? He advised me that I cannot order one and yes I would have to keep coming in. I asked if he could check nearby stores for me as this was holding up a project. He told me I could call the stores myself. I ended up buying a hand truck that I needed and left. My wife ended up calling the store after we left to ask for the other stores numbers. Brandon answered the phone, he was incredibly helpful. It turns out they can look up stores inventory on their computers right there!! We were given inventories of 4 stores. Next thing you know we are on our way to the store in Washington where they pulled the item and had it waiting for us. So aside from the lazy old man who was useless, Brandon was the definition of what an employee should be and he won my continued patronage and membership. You have a great employee in Brandon HF! My son received the Harbor Freight Tools coupon mailer and chose his father's Christmas present from it. He kept the coupons in his desk for weeks, hiding it from my husband, and we drove an hour and a half to get to this place. We pulled up to it and he said, 'I can't believe we're finally here!!' Am I rating it high based on my son's joy and my own emotional experience surrounding the store? Absolutely. Is it a pretty normal hardware store with anything you night need? Absolutely. Can you get pretty darn good deals there with the coupons? Absolutely (we got a totally free head lamp and a flint fire starter for $1.50 when they cost $8 on Amazon) Will I go back here again?
