Nice store with a ton of products. It's well lit, shoppable and has a good variety of Asian food staples—produce, frozen, and sauces. My only negative comment, and maybe it's because I was there fairly early—there was a distinct and strong floral scent. Even with a mask on it was overpowering. I think it was incense that was just burned or it could have been an employee's perfume. I'd guess it was incense just based on the strength—but the reason I mention it is that I purchased one item with a plastic container. Plastic is porous and absorbs smells and I can literally smell the container inside of my cupboard when the cupboard door is closed. It's absorbed the scent and is very powerful. I hope my product doesn't have that flavor absorbed in it and others don't have their purchases absorbed with that very strong scent. Edit: 10 days later—still smells when I open the cupboard but has faded. I don't use the item frequently so Ill keep it in a plastic bag. And the rice vinegar with a plastic cap I also bought smells too—but nowhere near as severe as the all plastic tub. I'll stick with the main store in Minneapolis...

Yes is was late...about 6pm (night time in fall/winter) and yes I'm black (obvi) but I came with my 11 year old, and came to shop. I did not however feel welcomed nor appreciated. Immediately after walking in the clerk left the register and started "stacking" a shelf near me, suddenly 3 other staff were on the floor. Keep in mind the floor is fairly small in circumference and diameter and did not merit the ratio of 4 staff to 3 customers. (Staff that were not present prior to my entrance) upon checkout a bell was rang that read "ring if need help" however the clerk rang this bell while standing at the register.. (i did not as I was not quite ready, son was still picking out items) and did not do so for the patron behind me. (Obvi still black, other patron was not) it just felt very uncomfortable and i felt watched and singled out. It seemed there was an alert (the bell) that the black people have gone and staff could resume their...
Read moreWent here on 01/15 for the first time. There were about 3 others or so in the store. The lady working there had just helped a customer find something or answer a question. After she was done helping them, I saw her and politely said “ excuse me” to get her attention and she clearly heard me and looked me in the eyes but decided to go to the front register, where there was no one checking out. So I walked up to her and asked for the specific item I was looking for and she was so short and a bit rude with her response. I don’t expect much but I felt a type of way being a POC…meaning it’s really hard not to notice or feel this way when had she helped and gave attention to a Caucasian person just earlier but totally disregarded me. I needed other basic items but walked out after that disappointing service. I like United Noodles (the Mpls location) and just wanted to bring this to...
