I've visited this park since I was a small child. There was a pond, a set of metal bleachers, and old metal playground equipment. In the winter you could ice skate on the pond. In the 90s the playground was replaced with a large wooden fortress. The natural shaped pond was given an artificial border. The bleachers were removed. Eventually the pond, where as a teen I once helped a young boy catch a fish, was filled in and replaced with a basketball court. Now the wooden fortress has been replaced with woodgrain plastic pieces. I still come here sometimes. I remember as a preschool age child coming here with my father. We brought the Curious George book and a newspaper. He made me a boat to sail down the creek. Life will never be as magical as the times at this park. Someday when I am gone, I hope the park remains and...

Wow! Christmas Run recently added a new playground that is really cool! It's is built to look like a nature scape with giant log slides, climbing rocks, ropes ladders, and little animal sculptures hiding among the activities. It's really neat looking, and very fun to play on. We took our two year old, and although some things were out of her age range (she fell on the ropes), she still had a lot of run. There is also another play ground up the hill at the park that is more geared toward younger children.

Besides the playgrounds at Christmas Run, there are plenty more adult-friendly activities, like a basketball court, tennis court, and...

The park it's self is lovely but the playground is very unsafe for small children. There are plenty of places where a child can fall off and hurt themselves. The tree stump path is just asking for a kid to get hurt. The rope bridge needs a net under it as my 3 year old goddaughter misplaced her foot and fell straight through it. Thankfully I had a hold of her arm otherwise she would have fallen 6 feet straight down. The ropes are way too far apart for a playground. I understand that kids can get hurt at parks I got my fair share of scrapes and bumps but this just seems like a poorly designed playground where they went for looks more...

We love this park dispute the old castle playground not being here anymore 😞 however the playground is well kept and fun for the kids 😁 they love the gliding swings and the big rocks! Plus the basketball courts, pickleball courts and volleyball courts are nice for spring summer activities! The creak that runs down under the bridge is always a hit during summertime as well! Added bonuses here are the many pavilions some with grills help make parties nice and convenient to have when weather permits too! Overall a great family friendly park to visit!

The park is really nice. Big playground with lots of different things. I also like how the pavilions are covered around the playground so you can sit and watch your kids play in the shade. They are big enough to throw birthday parties as well. The worst part are the bathrooms. They were absolutely disgusting - smelled like porta-johns even though it is brick and mortar. You can tell no one has done a deep clean of those in a while. However I would definitely come back again but will make sure my kid has gone to the bathroom at home before coming.
