Marine Corps League Inc — Restaurant in Worcester

We booked the Marine Corps League to host our baby shower. We booked the hall on January 17, but yesterday, February 23, we received a call from a rather rude woman named Kris or Chris. She informed me in a voicemail that they would no longer be able to accommodate us. This was 2 days after Adrianna spoke to me and said our party would be left as is. This was also after going there twice! Once to pay the deposit, and the second time to pay the rest. Neither time, were we informed of a double booking. Apparently there is a 30th birthday party also booked for the same night. Adrianna was a lot nicer, but that other woman should take a hospitality class, as she was extremely rude. Now I want to know, who is going to compensate me for the invitations that I had made that say Marine Corps League on them?! Also, to the bar staff that works at the MCL, thank your managers! Myself, as well as half of the guests invited work as bartenders or servers at various restaurants. We would have tipped you guys fantastically! Sorry your management team sucks.

Me and my girlfriend booked our first child's babyshower!!! We spoke too managers on 3 separate occasion and two of those occasions they accepted the deposit and the full payment for the hall... Three weeks before the babyshower we was informed that they had double booked the hall. To help accommodate the MCL We tried to cancel the cake and catering (which was already paid for)! But was informed it was too close to the babyshower date! We spoke for a fifth time to "the manager" and she assured us that we had the room... The next day we received another call informing us that we do not have the room and they will refund our money... We explained our situation and in a unsympathetic manner the manager kindly informed us that we can come get our money at 11a.m tomorrow!!! I hope they are happy with their management and the inconvenience and pain they...

The Marine Corps League was kind enough to host a stop on the Irreverent Warriors hike - and they did credit to the Corps.

Everyone on site was ready for a party of 200+, to include disabled, mobility impaired, and people rocking the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor for visibility.

The lake view is excellent. Despite our large presence, there was a quiet area to sit, reflect, and watch the water.

The bar was open when I visited, service was excellent, and it's much more satisfying to drink a $3 draft here than a $14 same thing with a delicately drawn chalkboard.
