I recently came to Faith Baptist in hope to serve and connect to local community. I was in a hurting place having recently gone through a divorce and knowing I needed bypass surgery (without immediate family or friends close by). The church initially offered counselling and also assistance with meals and help after my surgery. Unfortunately, there was horrible followup and follow thru. The counselling ministry connected me with a lay person when they had a pro counseling staff. This person betrayed trust and drug me into conflict and controversy that was not necessary. The followup and care provided by the lead pastor took more than two months. The whole situation turned into an unnecessary mess. The church's approach was inappropriate, legalistic and extremely hurtful. Especially for me, someone who came to them in need. This church is definitely not safe a "Grace Place". They are more concerned about their "membership" than serving people and treating them in a Christ-like manner. I had no expectations other than that the church do what it said it would do. All I got was were excuses and focusing why I was the problem. I found another church that's wonderful. Faith Baptist...
Read moreAfter looking for a church to call home for several years, my husband and I found that Faith is where we needed to be to raise our family. At first we were a little bit concerned with the fact that we might get lost in what seemed like a big crowd. However after the kind welcome we received and making it a point to connect with other families (by serving and connecting with others at Faith), we have made so many friends that we love dearly and Faith now feels like home. Faith no longer feels like the big church we thought we’d get lost in or overlooked. Being involved in Kidztown has allowed us to meet other families with kids that our son gets to grow up with not only in age but also in faith and a relationship with Christ. I love that our church is partnering up with us as parents to raise generations of kids that will not just grow in faith here locally but will also go out into the world as believers to share Jesus with others. I hope anyone looking for a church in the area will consider Faith Baptist. I also hope that if you’ve given us a try and have questions/concerns, you will reach out to any one of our pastors so that they can hear you and learn where we need to improve...
Read moreThis is saying it lightly, but I was very disappointed in the way my family and I were treated while attending Faith Baptist Church. They encourage fellowship, but no one in the place has a friendly bone in their body. My daughter was ignored and verbally picked on by the other kids, and I spoke to one of her Sunday school teachers about the issue, but it was never resolved. Although bullying isn’t right, I put the situation to the side and decided to give the place another chance. But I could just never shake the fact that the members are incredibly rude. They aren’t very welcoming to visitors; in fact, when we first arrived, we went an entire two months without being talked to, despite our efforts to join Sunday school classes and Wednesday night events. Bottom line is, I wasn’t expecting to be treated so badly by a church, especially one that has such amazing views. Everyone raves about it, but I think it’s about time someone gives an honest review. The church wasn’t a good fit for my family. The whole place is a big show, if you ask me. And they need to focus more on what they claim to do; Connecting, Growing...
