Bargain Box — Attraction in Zanesville

I have always had a good experience majority of the time I have shopped here I have been shopping here for probably 10 years when they was in the mall took me a few years to find them again but I definitely am happy to of found them again this place will work with you on prices and everything if they can I was reading some of the bad reviews as well on here and I have never smelled pot inside this store I'm sure it being a video game store they have pot heads who come to buy games my brother smokes pot constantly and he loves call of duty the staff here have always been kind and respectful as of late about ten years ago I had a bad experience with one of the staff that worked here but other then that majority of the time they are good people they have working this place is family friendly and are respectful around kids they are like a m.h ybother business they cannot tell other to not do something if they are not informed of it I love the dnd collection of stuff they have the video game collection I have usually found cheaper games then gamestop here I usually do bbn price checks at different locations only a few times have they been higher then gamestop but like I said they will work on prices if that's brought up but they are a business and at the end of the day they need bv higher profits then deficit to stay in business I hope my review clarifies to others that this is a good place to...

This review has been a long time coming. I have been a regular at Bargain Box from when they were located at the old CD Jungle and then moved to the mall. I have brought friends from out of state here to rummage through their stuff. My past three visits had the most horrific service of any retail establishment. In my visits, I have brought piles of records to the counter only to be told "those aren't priced for sale." Yet, they are on the sales floor and this is after I have spent an hour digging through them.

I've been told, "I can't sell you these comics because no one is here to price them." Yet, again, they are in a box on the sales floor. I know storage space can be at a premium but why aren't you empowering your employees to make decisions instead of leaving them in the lurch?

Then, on my last visit, I brought a pile of comics out of the discount bin (when they had two storefronts in the mall) to the counter and was told "Where are these from? These books are too expensive to be in the discount bin." Thanks for the alienation guys. I've only been coming here for 10+ years.

New storefront? Hopefully it includes a commitment to higher levels of customer service but I doubt it. Too bad I won't stop in to find out.They have had 10 + years to get it right and have screwed...

The prices on things are cleary not in the customer's favor. Things like Wii Sports in the store they are charging double just because it is popular, not that those are market values of the items. The store smelled of raw sewage when I was in there and urine from behind the maze-like countertop area where the lazy employees sit. It could have been from an animal. The overall cleanliness of the store is in question. Dirt and grime on half the games that are overpriced, as well as the unprofessional and condecending responses from the owner, Brandon, to constructive criticism to reviews demonstrates he is very child-like in nature and incapable of having resonable conversations. He is clearly right and everyone else is wrong. He likes to argue with everyone he disagrees with online. Also, the owner, is known as a local racist I come to find out so I will never set foot in this store again. There are other places I can go to smell raw sewage that is more worth my time and money.
