On behalf of our small group of high school Visual Arts students, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful tour we had at your museum. We were absolutely delighted by the experience, and much of that was due to our fantastic guide, Sally. Sally was truly exceptional. She shared her vast knowledge with us in such an engaging way, allowing us to ask questions and encouraging us to delve deeper into the pieces that caught our interest. Her balance of information and time for exploration was perfect, creating an enjoyable and educational atmosphere for everyone. We were particularly impressed by her passion for the art and the way she highlighted her personal favorites, which made the tour feel more intimate and special.
Additionally, we were all thoroughly impressed by the breadth and variety of art on display. The different time periods and diverse collections provided an enriching experience, and we all left with a deeper appreciation for the many forms of art you curate.
Thank you once again for such a memorable and inspiring visit. What a gem in Zanesville for free! We look forward to the possibility of returning...

Yep. And it was glorious!
We had planned a 3 day trip centered around staying in Zanesville. Heading out to see Zoar and Hocking Hlls as well. One of the must see stops for us was the museum of Art.
We live in Cincinnati. We are also spoiled due to the abundance of high quality museums near us. (Side note, the Cincinnati Art Museum is also free and features on of the largest collections of Nabataean material outside of Jordan.)
What a lovely surprise to see the collections here.
Beautiful pottery. The also had several works from well known artists including Ruebens, Gainsborough and Grandma Moses. They also had a Duncanson. Interesting Mexican, pre-Columbia pieces as well.
On exhibit was also a Snoopy display which was very fun.
Highly recommend a visit here if you are from out of town or even if you are local.
PS - They have 8500 pieces in their collection NOT on display. I am sure they are always rotating...
