Please note, this place is not the same thing that was in the mall. That was called Charley's and it's still located in other cities.
I'm a huge fan of Charley's so I've been anxious to try this place out for a while now. I wish the location was better. It's kind of tucked into a back corner to where it's not easily noticeable from the street unless you're specifically looking for it or looked it up on a GPS. By no means is that their fault, just an observation. So my all time favorite is the turkey cheddar with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. You go in and there's a menu and drink cooler right there. The lady heard me come in and assisted me immediately. Just FYI, when you order your sub you also tell them what toppings you want as well. Where at Charley's, you started at the left, paid first, then worked your way down and you told them what toppings you wanted at the end. They seemed very caring when making my sub and didn't just slop it together. I noticed that the tomatoes were hand cut, rather than delivered pre sliced. And surprisingly, the tomatoes had amazing flavor. A lot of times when getting tomatoes at a restaurant or fast food place, they're pinkish in color and taste like nothing. These tomatoes were actually red and to be honest, looked like garden tomatoes. One complaint is that I wish they had fountain drinks as an option (they only have bottles.) I don't drink that much so a 20oz bottle is a waste for me. I'd prefer to get a small fountain drink. Also, a few more different drink options would be nice. Most of it was pop, then a few teas and some Gatorade. I got my sub to go and ate it in the car. Let me tell you, that was more difficult than I'd thought it'd be. The guy on the grill chops the meat up very fine, so when you go to eat your sub, a lot of the meat falls out. So it would be nice if the meat didn't get chopped up into super tiny pieces. I got a regular size and it was so yummy that I probably could've eaten a large. The prices are pretty much the same as Charley's subs and are of the same quality, if not better. So I do recommend giving this place a try! And I do suggest eating inside cause it can be a bit messy!
Edit I saw a review that stated they do have fountain drinks, so perhaps I just...
Read moreOn 1/28/22 I stopped in for the first time to grab the family something for lunch. I ordered two Philly's and a Italian and three loaded fries. I'll tell you this. The food is delicious. The Philly's had great flavor. The veggies weren't over cooked nor under cooked. The bread was toasted to perfection. The Italian was well my 10yo daughter is kind of picky with her subs. she demolished hers and said it was the best sub she has ever had. The wait time is almost nonexistent. There was four or five people making our food. And that kitchen was running like a fine tuned clock.. When i walked in the owner was stocking the pop cooler. He was a delight to chat with and tue rest of the staff were very polite and asking you how would you like this cooked and how would you like that done. They don't just make it like the menus say they make sure its made to taylor your likes and needs. The price is a touch steeper than the other sub shops in town but with this place you get way better quaity food than you would at the other shops...I give a solid 5 stars. And I will be visiting them often for their deliciousness. As of right now I deem them the King of Subs...
Read moreWent in looking for a quick but cheap stop for food and was absolutely blown away! This place is a hidden gem for a small business! Tried the Ham & Swiss and it was absolutely incredible! The bread was soft, the ham was packed with flavor and practically melted in my mouth, and the swiss was melted to perfection! The staff was super friendly, the prices were really reasonable for what you get, and the restaurant itself really felt like a huddled-in place you could unwind and just enjoy a nice afternoon lunch. Their punch card system they have was unexpected for sure, and is also a great sales incentive I haven't seen in years. Will definitely be going back more often, and I definitely recommend this place for others that are looking for...
