Le Grand Hotel Hanoi — Attraction in Hà Nội

We stayed 4 nights then booked again for another 2 nights. That’s how much we feel comfortable staying here. It’s reasonable in every aspects for price offered.

Room: has basic amenities, slippers, robes, free coffees, water, teas, water heaters, mini fridge, hairdryers, soap, shampoo. It’s pretty clean and neat. I have no complaints to be honest. Bed is comfy. Aircon works. And they have Netflix.

Service: there are 2 ladies. Older one speak very minimal English and younger one slightly better. The older lady is very nice and try her best to assist us despite language barrier. Google translate is your best friend.

Area: Quite local housing area with circle k and some coffee shops around. It is 10 mins away from main city are or Old Quarter but Grab is easy to call at any time. If you walk around to other side you can pretty much get many local food options.

Advised to book to booking apps as slightly expensive with direct bookings. They only accept cash so no card payment.

We had 2 different room and both are great. They have 3 different room area with 3 different elevator access. Elevator on the most right hand side is slightly messy but it I think they’re doing some repairing.

Overall, will definitely stay here...

We checked in at midnight and it was normal until I found my room a bit ood that we could literally get to other rooms through a bacony, it was kind of scary because of the scenery and that it has no light at all. We rented 2 rooms and both of them look creepy supposing that the lights look like they’re from the 90’s and I just couldn’t turn all the lights on, there’re holes on the wall and the sofa, there’re freaky paintings on the wall the fact that they scared me. So overall, the price is not really reasonable for 2 rooms ( 550.000 and 450.000 for the second room which is a lot smaller than the more expensive one), I will not come here ever again, there’re more nearby hotels btw. P/s: the bed is so good and I loved it so it’s the only great thing about this hotel I have seen ( I stayed here overnight...

Nothing good here. I booked a deluxe double with bathroom in a 4 star hotel with a bar, lounge, fitness room and sun deck. there are no deluxe doubles. ||||The hotel has no baths. There is no bar, no lounge, no fitness room and no sundeck. In fact we did not even have a window in our room. I say room when I clearly mean ‘cell’. ||||When challenged they told me ‘We have none of that, it’s called marketing’. ||||No that is called fraud. ||||This is clearly a 2 star hotel. If you add in the scooters being ridden through the foyer and the air conditioning not working one night, almost zero soundproofing plus the shower taking about 5 minutes to warm up you end up with probably the worst hotel I have stayed in.
