VinWonders Water Park — Attraction in Hưng Yên Province

The park is very beautiful and fun for kids

Genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences we've ever had.

We visited as we thought we'd enjoy a nice relaxing day at a water park after having experienced some of the wonderful culture Hanoi has to offer.

Sadly, this entire place was a complete disappointment. First of all, the surrounding area is a modeled like a distopian version of Venice seemingly from someone who's never been to Venice or even Europe for that matter.

The park was completely empty other than us, the staff, oh and the rat 🐁 we encountered as soon as we walked through the gate haha

There is a 90kg weight limit for some slides, however the way this was conveyed to us left us feeling completely humiliated. The weight limit isn't the issue, I get it and it's not the fault of the staff. Although we're not by any means considered obese in the developed world.

What I do take issue with is them laughing and pointing as though it was a massive issue. I'd not find it acceptable to laugh and point at any of the staff, so why would they feel so emboldened to do this to us? Are they paid so much they don't need to worry about customer service? 🤷

There aren't ladders out of the lengths pool (can see this has been mentioned in a review previously but still hasn't been remediated). Like, not even grips on the handles?

Also a lack of air-con in the changing rooms. Not sure on the logic behind this as the common cold is caused by rhinovirus rather...

This place was built recently and it is already in a rundown (paint flaked off, crack in the pool floor, etc). I bet in 6 months - 1 year, it is going to be horrible. The park is fairly small, there is a central pool for small kids and it is always crowded. There was a guard who is incredibly rude, i saw him using his foot to push a kid down the slide because she took a bit of time. There were not enough of tube so it took a really long time to queue to get one. The most annoying thing about this park is they close from 12-2pm and you couldn't go out as the normal ticket only allows 1 time entrance. The food stall was super bad. The portion was tiny. The service was chaotic; there is no order number so a guy in charge had to shout everyone's order in the form of the dishes you bought. There was no queuing system so everyone was up in his face screaming to get the food. The combo was 100k VND for a meal + drink + ice cream. I felt like I was scammed even with the 50k voucher for buying tickets from vinwonders site. After all, I would never go back to this waterpark. If you don't trust me, come and see...
