The American philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “It's not the destination, it's the journey”. Ralph must have visited Sunworld!
Sunworld is located on a once beautiful island which has largely been destroyed to make way for a fake plastic “European” city and a theme park. If you do not value nature and instead value tacky theme parks then this place is for you!! To make matters worse the cable car stops for 2 hours over lunchtime. This left us stranded in Sunworld - a place which encapsulates all that is wrong with humanity. They also sell shorts and other clothing in the water park so if you forget your common sense you can get new shorts. If you're on Phu Quoc...
Read moreAbsolute horrible tourist trap ghost city. As you take the cable car to the island, it appears that everything is operational but upon arrival, just like with many buildings in sunset town, they are either vacant or closed. There’s even a giant inflatable obstacle course in the ocean by the beach which is the photo I posted, but the beach is closed and the floatable water terrain park is just for show. Also, if your swim trunks have a zipper, even if the zipper can be tucked in, you cannot ride the water slides. This place is a sham and...
