Nhà hàng Buffet Mango — Restaurant in Phú Quốc

I bought the buffet voucher with the cable car ticket on Klook, same day. Restaurant is only open between 10:30am - 2:30pm with last admission at 1:30pm and there’s a 2 hour limit, though I don’t think it’s enforced. It’s about a 5-7 minutes walk to the restaurant after exiting the cable car. We entered at 11:45am on a Thursday. The dining area is huge. Shortly after the restaurant started to really fill up. If you come late and you can’t find a seat, there’s another building towards the bathrooms where it will have the same food and it will be less crowded.

There is so much food. The line can be over whelming. It can get chaotic. But just have patience as the line does move in a steady pace. Now, no fault of the restaurant but if you dine here, please have some manners.

Please ask if the seat is taken before sitting down next to a family. Do not grab the tongs from someone else’s hand and do not grab food with your bare hands. That’s unsanitary.

As far as taste goes. For less than $8 USD, and for the variety of food, it’s fair. I liked about 10% of what I’ve ate. There’s something for everyone but it won’t suite everyone’s taste. Supposedly there was a vegan corner, but I did not find it.

Luckily it was an overcast day so the lack of air conditioning didn’t affect us much. We also arrived with bathers under our clothes which assisted us in cooling down alongside the fans. The food variety was impressive but the vegan and vegetarian options are sparse, this was hugely disappointing but we made it work with what items they did have. If you ask the staff for vegetarian options they will also cook up some noodles for you in the kitchen. Probably best to ask for vegan noodles as the vego ones arrived with some chewy white balls that were definitely not vego. Best to also share one plate of noodles between two to avoid wastage and order more if needed.
