Advice to the project manager: Stop all construction until you have dealt with the heat issue.
For context, Mui Ne is basically a desert. An extremely hot place.
This waterpark is made out of concrete floor, and plastic rides. Both absorb heat. It isn't even possible to walk barefoot at this waterpark without getting burnt souls. There are no trees and basically no shade for walk ways or for the rides.
The park has put down artificial grass to try and tackle the issue. It hasn't worked :D (at all). Nice try though!
The baby area is hilarious, the rubber matting has melted. I don't think a baby has ever set foot on this play area. I don't think a baby can ever set foot on this play area without being burnt alive. From above, and from below.
I went at 9am with my 6 year old daughter. We were the ONLY customers on the park, and we had a great time. (reason for 2 star review, because despite the heat we had fun!)
I personally splashed water all over the rides before we got on them, and we ran around the park like headless chickens jumping from shade to shade where we could find some.
Furthermore (which all Vietnam theme parks have this issue), the good rides need to be over 120cm of height. Meaning my tall 6 year old daughter (presumably your target market), can only go on the baby rides.
Other countries (UK for example), she can play basically every ride at any theme park at her age and at her height.
These weird safety restrictions curse all Vietnam theme parks where their target market can't actually go on the rides that they have built. It is very strange to me!
My words of wisdom to the park owners:
I don't think you can fix the heat problem in a desert. But why is the water park open from 9am to 5pm? 5pm being the golden hour of a place like Mui Ne, where the temperature significantly drops. You close at peak hour!
This water park should be open from 3pm to 9pm and it might actually get some customers.
Even the baby area with the melted rubber might see some babies on it. If only they could attend the theme park as the sun sets!
Why would you close your waterpark when the temperature drops to a level where customers can actually enjoy your facilities? Hmmmm....
I have lived in Vietnam for over 10 years. I have a 2 year old daughter as well as a 6 year old. We knew it was going to be unpractically hot for a baby. If the waterpark was open past 5pm, you would have seen my entire family. Instead you just had my six year...
Read moreLike most of the Novaworld area this park is also completely empty of guests. I think we were there with 20 other people for a park that will probably first several thousand. It’s all new and spotless, loads of friendly staff and everything was open except one huge slide (we had no plans for that one). There is actually a good number of things to do for every age group. Toddlers have slides open between 100-120cm and their some slides for that group. The rest of the slides and activities are fitting for the 120-140cm group.
The only massively annoying thing of this park is that they have the music so loud it’s almost not doable to stay at the front of the park (where the toolset area is). So I hope they read this and consider a standard limit of decibels dB and self manage as this was damaging the ears of us all. So we went mostly back to the park to avoid the terrible...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible experience! I don't have enough space to write about it. We booked tickets in advance and there was no special information. Maybe it was a special day for locals. The park was overcrowded. It was even difficult to get in! We had tickets for this specific day so couldn't go another day. They had no keys for the locker, I had to fight for it. Then all the areas were crowded and people were just pushing each other. Swimming pools are dirty. No control in swimwear people have been wearing jeans and shirts in the swimming pool. Impossible to order food in the restaurant and no space to seat. All the areas looked like a market with a lot of stuff, begs and clothes. Even though the space is overcrowded, they kept people letting come inside. It was the most horrible experience in...
