It’s perfect for those who love physical challenges, natural beauty, and a little bit of excitement in a jungle setting. Here’s a comprehensive review of the park: ### 1. **Activities and Attractions** Xplor is designed to provide a full day of action-packed activities, most of which are set in the park’s lush jungle environment. - **Underground Rivers**: One of the park's most unique features is the opportunity to float through an underground river system in a raft. The crystal-clear waters wind through caves and tunnels, creating a surreal and magical experience. It’s both tranquil and thrilling, and the scenery in these hidden underground caves is breathtaking. - **Hammock Splash**: This is a unique activity where you swing in a giant hammock and then release yourself to splash down into a pool of water. It’s a fun, thrilling experience and provides a break from all the intense activities. ### 2. **Natural Environment** The park is nestled in the heart of the jungle, and much of the experience is centered around nature. As you navigate through the zip lines, ATV trails, and underground rivers, you’ll be surrounded by lush foliage, limestone formations, and even small caves. The tropical landscape really adds to the adventure, making it feel like you’re exploring an untouched wilderness. - **Cave Exploration**: The underground caves are another highlight of Xplor, where the underground rivers wind through stalactites and stalagmites. The caves are well-lit and safe to explore but offer an eerie and mysterious vibe. - **Wildlife**: While you won’t see large animals like tigers or elephants, you can expect to encounter various smaller jungle creatures like tropical birds, lizards, and insects, adding to the authenticity of the park’s environment. ### 3. **Safety and Accessibility** Xplor is well-regulated and safety-conscious, with harnesses, helmets, and life vests provided for all activities. The staff is professional and ensures that everyone is properly prepared before embarking on each adventure. - **Age and Height Requirements**: Xplor is suitable for most visitors, but certain activities (like the zip lines and ATVs) have age and height restrictions. Children must be at least 6 years old to participate in certain activities, and there are weight limits for zip-lining. - **Comfortable Clothing**: Since the park involves water activities, dirt trails, and zip-lining, it’s best to wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting wet or muddy. Water shoes are recommended, as you will be in and around water for much of the day. ### 4. **Food and Amenities** Xplor offers a buffet-style restaurant with a selection of healthy and hearty meals. The food is generally well-reviewed, with options that cater to various dietary preferences. You'll find a variety of dishes, including Mexican staples like tacos, grilled meats, and fresh fruit. It’s perfect for recharging after a long day of adventure. ### 5. **Crowd Levels and Timing** Since Xplor is a popular park, it can get crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. It’s recommended to arrive early to avoid long lines for the most popular activities, such as zip-lining and the ATV trails. ### 6. **Cost** Xplor is a premium experience and can be on the expensive side compared to other local attractions. The price includes all the activities (zip-lining, ATVs, rafting, and underground rivers), lunch, and necessary equipment like helmets and life vests. It’s an all-inclusive package, so once you’ve purchased the ticket, you won’t need to pay for any additional activities. ### 7. **Overall Experience** Xplor is an adrenaline-lover’s paradise. It provides a well-rounded mix of adventure activities that take you through the jungle and underground, all while being surrounded by natural beauty. Whether you're flying through the air on a zip line, speeding through the jungle on an ATV, or gliding through crystal-clear underground rivers, every moment at Xplor is packed with excitement.

This place was amazing! Exceeded expectations in every way! This was a lot less money and whole lot more fun than Disney World a few years ago where all we did was stand in line, spend the day looking at our phones with their stupid app, and getting charged for every little thing. On the contrary this was truly all inclusive and extremely well organized. It’s so easy and the experiences are amazing! First off what you need to know is get there as early as you can and go on a Saturday if possible. Dress like you would for a water park and make sure to have water shoes (not sandals.) You get a locker included for anything else and you can keep your phone with you on most everything with those water phone bags you wear around your neck. You can also wear sunglasses on everything. No need for a hat as you will have to wear your provided helmet all day and once you’re there you’ll see why. Once in, you can stow whatever else you have in the locker and go have fun. Hungry? Just wait until you see the spread they have available all day. We were literally shocked at the options and quality of the food and drink! Anything you can imagine and healthy options too…all included! We did everything twice at least and before getting to that it’s important to note that just walking around is amazing! The caves are incredible and you keep going above and below ground and part of the fun is just wandering around and exploring it all! The zip lines are incredible and the trick with them is that you do them once but can keep doing them as much as you want once you have the harness on. At the end just go right to repeat ride or do the three tower course (as opposed to the main seven tower one.) The idea here is that they just don’t want you coming back multiple times a day where you’d have to get the harness on and off. The UTV vehicles were also incredible! So fun and the surprise of the trip as everyone loved them! You drive through caves, water, etc. and there are two courses and each is a few miles long. The underground activities…river rafts, swim and river walk are all other-worldly and very safe with clean water! A lot of natural cenote tours can be dangerous but this is the way to do it! Hammocks and hammock zip line were fun and you can see the HUGE water park and rides they are putting in which will be amazing when complete! A note on the photo services…we did not do this and certainly you can take a lot of pics on your own but, I will say the way they have it setup is slick where you hit certain points and push a button and pose throughout the park at key photo op points plus they take your pics on all the attractions too so it might be worth it. There are also two big gift shops (that are not inclusive of course) and not cheap but did have some cool and not you your usual touristy stuff. So yes, just so great to have our expectations exceeded for once, especially after Disney a year or so which was horrendous. After the third hour plus long wait at Disney (and thousands of dollars,) our kids wanted to go back to the hotel but here they didn’t want to leave!

A must do for teens and adult adrenaline seekers cancun. We decided to come here instead of Xcaret (although you should go to both if you can) because of the more interactive activities. It’s basically a natural water park/amusement park. Would highly recommend if you are decently active. Booking: we booked the day before on the official website and they had our names ready on their lists. There is a small mobile discount if you book through your phone. They also provide a discount if you book 21 days in advance. Transportation: we went with the official bus provided by the park, and it was a smooth transfer. The bus has AC. They picked us up from grand sunset princess at 7:40 (left 7:55), and arrived around 8:40 before the park opened. Departure was at 5pm on the dot so make sure you’re there on time. We arrived back at our hotel at 6pm. Attractions: ziplines were great, about 9-12 circuits with one going through a waterfall. You do have to go up some stairs/incline but it’s very doable if you’re mobile/averagely active. Couples can zip line together (we read that there was a 300lb total weight limit but was not really enforced; the both of us were about 350lbs and it was ok). Would recommend the long route for the swim, took approximately 40minutes for 300m. You can go faster but it’s congested by slower swimmers ahead. The water slide was fun but a long wait - you can’t bring anything up so store it in the lockers and they need 4 people a raft with a maximum weight of 705lbs between the 4 of you. That means some people were stranded waiting to pair up, or groups of 3 had to wait a while for a single rider to come join their group. Overall, the wait took about 1 hour and the ride was ~2-3minutes. It was fun but not sure if worth. Other rides like ATV/vehicles, hammock swing were great as well. Buffet: Food is included in the ticket, although it was ok. They had burgers, pasta, paella, some curries/meats, fruits/desserts and cold salads. Heat: The park makes sure that you’re shaded for most of the time, so the heat was not a problem. You walk to the attractions in an underground cave system, and when you’re outside, there are misting stations and tents/huts that provide shade. Overall, we felt the park was very well designed. Cleanliness: overall the park was well maintained, and washrooms were very clean with an attendant looking after and mopping every 15 minutes or so. The floors were always dry which was surprising since everyone was dripping water. Must bring: You need water shoes. They are sold overpriced at the park for 999 pesos. Bring a waterproof phone case to hang around your neck to take photos (they sell them for about 700 pesos at the park). Also bring a towel, change of clothes, *reef safe sunscreen, and water bottle (lots of water stations around the park). They say to bring an ID but they don’t really ask for it.

Wow! How fun was that?! I have been waiting to experience Xplor for a year. Last year, my daugther was too scared about the zipline so we skipped it and went to Xel-Ha instead. There, she experienced smaller ziplines and then quickly realised it was more fun than she thought. And so this year she begged me we to go to Xplor. What a blast that was. There aren't technically that many attractions to do, but trust me, you'll struggle to experience them all in a day, so you want to make sure you either prioritize what you want or be ready for a marathon. You can each attraction has many times as you want with the exception of the Zipline which can only be done once. Having said that, you have 2 courses (green & red) to choose from. Each course has 7 ziplines within and will take you about 2hours to complete if you decide to do both the green & red courses. TIP: Make sure you go to the loo before going on your zipline adventure as there won't be any toilet at sight for the next 2h. Also you probably want to go early as when we went there around midday there was already a 30mins wait time. Whilst the ziplines were awesome, we actually had more fun on the ATV. I was expecting a short circuit with slow ATVs. In fact they have multiple loops to choose from that each lasts about 20mins and the speed of the ATV is fast enough to have some really fun time. We enjoyed it so much that we did it 3 times. TIP: The circuit that starts from the left is a lot better. You go through a lot more obstacles than the one that starts from the right. Swimming and rafting in the cave was also a great experience. For each experience you can choose from 2 routes. The short or long route. The former is meant to take approx 10mins while the latter approx 30mins. The only downside with rafts is that loads of people don't know how to paddle and you end up with loads of crowds, creating bottleneck at every corner. In the end we skipped lunch. We wanted to maximise our time in the park. I would definitely go back next time I am in Cancun. TIP: While you can take your phone, gopro, etc... with you to take pictures (except on ziplines), I would still recommend buying the park photo package. It's a bit pricey ($50+ per pax though it decreases the more you are in your group) but it allows you to get shots that would be hard to get otherwise.

We have travelled to Xplor 3 times before from the UK, but this was our first at night Fuego! *Update 2024* - water slide is open and awesome. During late June the storm and heavy rain caused flooding and it had to be closed (like a couple of the water zips) so check before going if this is one of the main things you want to do HOWEVER still a great park, our favourite! - 2023 - We wanted to experience the activities in the dark so arrived around 7pm (June), but to be honest it was a rush to complete Zip, ATV's Hammock splash and eat (Wow - the food is better than day time, and that's excellent 👍). Plan you visit well. No mosquito bites but use spray and do the dry stuff first. No hats or caps allowed, no selfie stick of any kind of Zips, but small 6" floating one are ok on ATV's and Cenotes. Mobile and cash etc can be kept on you with a good quality water proof pouch round your neck (at your risk!). I took GoPro and used a Velcro Helmet strap through the holes and this was accepted, again at own risk. Kids - there was a father with a young boy and girl behind us (about 7 and 9 yes) just big enough and they loved it. You do a different loop for ATVs at night about 5Km / 30 mins and it's great in the dark. You can't drive with flip- flops (sliders) but water shoes etc are great so go with some (300 peso / £15) you keep these on during the zip lines too :). The Zips - there are 7 lines over two circuits MAKE SURE YOU DO BOTH. It's easy to exit and remove the harness after just 3. Food - Go there hungry, for get the chips (Fries!) Go for the BBQ Rib, steak and.... Well you'll see. The pasta and salads are excellent though, fresh clean and awesome. Showers and changing. You get one SMALL LOCKER, so only take the minimum with you eh. A small towel each to shower with, gel and hair brush (for wife!) Dry shorts and shirt, the aforementioned water shoes. Tak plastic bags x3 to put wet stuff in. Go to the upstairs lockers and the showers are communal round the outside edge, and changing rooms inside that circle - you'll work it out. We bought online and used a taxi from Playacar - no problems 350 peso each way. Enjoy!

We had a blast! We didn’t get to go on 2 activities because we came at 7 PM but got 5 activities in. Start with the zip line since it takes the longest. The park is nicely designed, feels safe, and I love that the locker rooms were in the heart of the park. We’re adults, but kids will enjoy it too. Come on a weekday if you can! We went on a Tuesday in February, and there weren’t a lot of people. I recommend bringing a swimsuit and beach clothes that can get wet (something that can quick dry, you’ll be wet the whole time without discomfort). I don’t recommend jeans or any material that is uncomfortable when wet. Some activities can be done in just bathing suits depending on your comfort level. Bring an extra set of clothes to change into afterwards. This is not a dry park! I thought some activities were dry, and I was wrong, hahaha. For shoes, definitely bring some kind of closed-toed Crocs, or close-toes water shoes with good grip as it can be slippery for some shoes. I had Chacos, and I slipped about a dozen times. Test out your sandals somewhere wet at home. They sell water shoes inside for $49 or $59 USD (surprisingly, good quality). Remember to drink water and have fun! The water stations are filtered afaik. All employees had a great attitude, which is a nice change from some of the bigger US theme parks we’ve been to. They ask if you speak Spanish or English when you approach. Buffet is surprisingly delish. Lots of options to choose from from: healthy, hamburger station, beef and pork ribs, bone marrow (I couldn’t believe it), Mexican dishes of course, fruit or, soup, ice cream, desserts, and more. I didn’t see alcohol being offered, and I’m guessing that’s for safety. Do not come if you need alcohol to have fun. Bring money for the xelfies packages. It’s a bit pricey but better than having to go back and forth to the locker room with your phone, and some activities don’t allow phones even in the waterproof cases. Don’t be stupid, and you’ll have fun. Fuego nighttime option was a great idea. Not too hot.
