We're so grateful we found this place! Hacienda Xcaret is a true gem in the jungle. Not only is it beautiful (even more so than the photos), but also the owners made us feel like family. We stayed in the "casita," a little house tucked into the trees, but we had access to a big kitchen in the main house as well. The property is quiet and peaceful, and the other guests were friendly. We were about 15 minutes away by car from the touristy areas of Playa del Carmen, which were easily accessible. However, we didn't realize how close we would be to so many of the places we wanted to go! It was an ideal location for exploring cenotes, and also for visiting parks such as Xcaret and Xplor. We aren't normally into theme parks, but those two were incredible and offered so much more than we expected. There was also a lovely bakery less than a minute's walk away, and another place (equally as close) where we went for a memorable farm-to-table dinner. Finally, there are monkeys! They visited the property several times a day and we were able to get a great view of them in the trees and even on the rooftops. I highly recommend this wonderful property for anyone looking for an authentic, warm, and special experience. ||||I also wanted to add that the review on Tripadvisor that has just two stars doesn't appear to be for this property. There is a hotel nearby (Hotel Xcaret) and I would guess it's for that. This place doesn't have a restaurant and is very small (just a few rooms), so the review doesn't fit the location. ||||One last note - if you stay here, do yourself a favor and follow the instructions they give you to find the place. Google won't...

W-O-W, that was our first impression at check-in, and our final thoughts at check-out. This place is truly paradise! I mean, the design of the property, the garden areas and the individual lavish suites speak for themselves - but on top of that the hospitality is what truly made our weekend dreamy. Even before we booked out weekend Glen was quick to answer all of my questions, and that attentiveness and care continued after the booking and through the weekend. They even helped me coordinate a special supper to be delivered to the hacienda from the city. That's 5 star hospitality! You'll find the location quite and relaxing, the beds are comfortable, the water pressure in the shower excellent, and the kitchen in the studios fully stocked - but you'll likely most remember the attention to detail of all the decor in the property! The pool is fresh and clean, and the trees provide lots of shade from the hot sun. There's plenty of parking for your own vehicles, and plenty of chairs, loungers and benches on the property to read a good book :) If you're lucky, a family of monkeys will stop by to check out what's going on; they put on a show in the trees for us every day during breakfast. I just can't say enough good things about this magical property. If you're okay not staying at a beach property (this property does not have direct beach access) and not staying in Playa Del Carmen, then this is seriously the most amazing, unique choice - and it will surely live on in your memories as one of the best places you've ever stayed (it has for us!). Thank you Glen, Esther, Skip and the four legged...

My husband and I stayed here last year and the trip was nothing less then phenomenal. We decided to come back again. However, I feel like this may have been the biggest mistake. From the very beginning, when we booked our tours and restaurant reservations our confirmations were not emailed to us and my follow up emails were not responded to. Then upon arrival they lost 2 of our reservations and after about 20 minutes of searching suddenly found one of them because it was supposedly entered in a different system even though they were all done at one time with one representative. The third reservation was not found and no accommodations were made for that. Next at our reservation based dinner, the entrée's were not served until an hour an half after we sat down and ordered. We were also locked out of our room due to their system failure yet the insisted our bracelets had died. After 2 trips to the lobby and having someone finally come to our door they decided oh yes it is the door that is not working. We had to wait close to an hour to get entry to our room at 11pm at night. This trip was lack luster at every turn. The only light at the end of the tunnel has been that the majority of the time we aren't in the hotel but rather out enjoying their offsite parks. Unfortunately, we know now we will never come back to...

This place is amazing, is like a little paradise in the middle of the jungle, all my friends and family are asking about this place, if you decided to stay at Glen’s place you won’t regret it. On other note if you decide to go the entrance it’s a little complicated and That’s because it’s in the middle of two parks XCARET and Xenses so if you are coming from playa del Carmen is better to pass the entrance to XCARET until you pass the police check point and immediately make a U turn and ten look for the sign that says DELPHINUS and make a right then go all the way down to the Xenses barricade make a left on a open road then 3rd entrance to your left, I hope this directions help. I also want to thank Rodrigo he was of a lot help in every need we had, specifically keeping a look out for the monkeys so we can feed them. Another recommendation is that if you are not planning to cook you would need to rent a car because there is not a restaurant in the premises or nearby, the closes restaurants are at playa del Carmen, but the kitchen is huge and very well equipped

The stay at the Hacienda was very nice and we had a lovely time. We felt very welcomed and would come back anytime. Now to some remarks: The Hacienda is in a very good location for traveling to the Xcaret parks (xsenses, xplore etc). However, be aware that there is not much restaurants in the area. There are two (one for breakfast and one for dinner), both good but you should be aware and plan accordingly by buying water etc. for visiting the parks later on. Another remark that is very obvious: The place is set to be very nature friendly and incorporated as much as possible within the nature. That means you will see lots of animals such as monkeys or lizard. This could also include lizards being next to your window or other animals being very near. If you have no problems with animals this will be the perfect place for you.

What a great find! If you are planning on visiting any of the fun parks in this area, this is the place you should stay. It’s a lovely home that is so peaceful and quiet. Our room was fantastic and my son absolutely loved playing in the incredible pool. There is a restaurant right next to it. It is not open on Sundays, but it looks good. It’s easiest to have a car to stay here, but you could do it in taxis. Just be careful because Google routes you to a dead end street if you don’t follow the hotel’s instructions. We didn’t have any problems because we follow the instructions. Definitely stay here! We rented a car at America Car Rental in Tulum. $36 per day including insurance.
