Overall the general service was good, rooms were clean and functional. It is true that some rooms require renovation works and look a little dated (including the bathroom) - still the cleaning team make a good job daily ensuring that everything is kept clean and functional. For the price charged, the rooms and service were more than adequate.||At the reception, Ms Madalena did an excellent job to ensure that all our requests were attended to... After a week begging for a hair dryer and not getting one (perhaps there was a language problem with the other reception desk officers ?) Madalena made sure to bring one in person! She was also kind enough to guide us for moving around the city.||||Breakfast was reasonable, with a variety of fresh fruits and savory dishes, while we has fresh bread daily and occasional some pastries. There were the usual cereals and also the service was generally on time. We could have expected some more variety but for the price I feel that breakfast was fine and healthy.||||The hotel is located in front of a small shopping complex where u can find several small restaurants, a food court and Shoprite Super market (general stuff plus fresh food etc). This does ensure that you have all your basic needs covered in case the hotel is not able to provide. Good luck though to cross the mini highway to reach the shopping center!!||||Other than the lack of hairdryer in the hotel, there were no iron provided even upon request... This is unacceptable for a hotel of this standard and trying to cater to the business traveler.... also there seems to be a lot of mosquitoes inside the building, although on the room terrace there seemed to be no major mosquito problem. They may need to provide for mosquito repellents inside the hotel.||||IF u need to stay around Talatona area then this hotel is a good choice for a short stay. The good Wifi and adequate Tv channels will ensure that you stay connected to the world. Oh I forgot to mention, there is a small gym and swimming pool in the basement. The gym was quite adequate for a morning or evening workout and the pool perfect for a quick swim at any...

After check in, at nearly 9pm at night, nearly nothing on the menu was available. I ended up having soup of undetermined origin or flavour. Breakfast was great, was pleasantly surprised actually, however dinners leave a bit for the wanting, especially since I am gluten intolerant and burgers or pies are out of the question.
Restaurant staff was touch and go, some nights the draw was bad and had to listen to blasting music and shouting from the kitchen, other night the staff were extremely attentive. Didn't know there was cake for sundowners, which I only enjoyed in my last day there.
I was surprised by a maintenance staff member letting himself into my room one evening around 8pm - started locking my door from thereon.
Room is in need of an upgrade, furniture is peeling and there was only one curtain, which only just covered the window. Aircoditioner also didn't work, with it either blasting me to freezing, or it was off which wasn't ideal in the warmth of Luanda. Was unable to adjust the temperatures and there was no blanket on my bed on the first night, which left me trying my best to stay warm, even after switching off the aircon.
All in all a good hotel if you're on a budget, but lock your doors at night. As a business traveler it did leave a bit for the wanting. Wifi kept dropping and became painfully slow. At least there was...
Read moreThis is a nice hotel to stay at and my rating could have been higher.
I love that there are not too many rooms it is therefore not crowded. The rooms themselves are very comfortable and fashioned in what seems to be Roman/Italian motif. There is also a readily available gym. They have managed to offer in my view the essentials for a good experience hotel. Everything fits neatly in the building and offers guests a very cozy and home type of feeling. They are also uniquely located right in front of Belas Shopping Mall, offering guests a 3 minutes walk to shops and cinema.
The level of service offered by the staff is acceptable. There is however a clear lack of better managerial attention on site. The small details are what matter.
The recent negative experience that I had was with main entrance automatic doors that were closed and had been for several days. If management could did not bother to sort it out quickly enough and guests were forced to use the service entrance.
I was not too impressed by the breakfast offer either. This can and should be much better to make justice to the quality and location of this hotel. Having said this I have not tasted lunch nor dinner here. Channel offer on TV, Wifi, the mini-bar, room service, and in room dinning, are all things they will have to improve immediately to justify the price being charged for accommodation, but above all to make them stand out when compared to other similarly sized hotels.
All in all it is an...
