In the more than 10 times I travelled to Mar del Plata and more than 20 I travelled around the world, never have I been in such a horrible hotel. The maids didn't change the towels (they had blood stains from another passenger), in spite of me placing them on the floor as a sign of being dirty. Maids and governess didn't change the blankets of my bed either. In order for them to clean the kitchen, you have to pay extra which wasn't the case for me. They cleaned it and charged it all the same in spite of being clean, claiming it was dirty. The hotel is very old and run down. The bed was missing a foot, the bedroom window had a hole on it, the air conditioner did't work, one day I opened the kitchen window taking it gently from the handle and it broke in half. About the location although in the centre of mdq, the entrance faces to a side, where all wind stocks. The lobby is very dark and its furniture very uncomfortable, not suitable for people over 50 yrs old (they can't stand up once they've sat down). The kitchen wasn't fully equipped with utensiles. The food leaves a lot to be desired (packs of grated cheese were old, they smelt!!). Last but not least, while the publicity online states that the hotel has a gym, a pool and whatsoever,.. it is equipped with nothing.. ALL A LIE. The maids didn't leave toilettries in my bathroom, the receptionists had to lend me their own. At night, I couldn't sleep because in the neighbouring rooms the guests made a lot of noise, problem which the manager failed to solve (the fleabug hotel's walls too thin??). I don't recommend this hotel AT ALL. To top it off, the manager is very aggressive and crazy and a scammer, she creates stories in her mind, not even the employees and the bellboys in the front desk, to whom I became friends with, tolerate her. I have been insulted and grabbed by the arm by the crazy manager, because she was too proud to recognize the truth and she wanted to turn me in, however she couldn't prove anything nor make her point. She threatened to kick my whole family out during christmas season on false reasons, without providing us with an alternative accommodation. I invite all people browsing to see for themselves that a lot of former guests to this cheap, sleazy hotel agree with me in their recollection of...
Read moreWe stayed for three nights in the middle of January during peak season. As River played Boca that weekend (these are possibly the two most popular football teams in Argentina) the town was booked out which stopped us from moving to another hotel which was what we immediately wanted to do after we saw our room. It was really filthy. Hair (and not ours) everywhere including bed and bathroom. The carpet was simply disgusting. The hotel has four elevators which could not cope with the number of guests. We waited several times for more than five minutes for an elevator before taking the stairs and walking the eight floors (luckily we stayed on a lower floor), which is where we encountered many other guests with the same problem.||||On a positive note breakfast was good and the staff was friendly as well. However, I will not go back...
