to give an honest review, you get what you pay for here. the rooms are relatively small and shared, and some of the sheets and pillows are not in the best condition but i slept comfortably enough. our room smelled of cigarettes and had a leak in the ceiling which made the floor wet and i don’t think this will be fixed any time soon. as some others have mentioned, the rooms do not have locks, but you can put your belongings in a small locker (you must bring your own padlock). you have to pay on arrival in cash or with a small surcharge on card, so if you do not have pesos, take some out before you arrive. one receptionist is not very welcoming and my friend had to wait around an hour to check in. the showers have good water pressure and hot water, but the bathrooms are shared with the bar. the music from the bar is very loud on the weekends so if you are a light sleeper you may struggle with this. having said that, it is in an amazing location in the centre of cordoba, close to many supermarkets, bars, clubs, and western unions if you need. one staff member let me leave my bags there for the day after i checked out which was super helpful. there are accessible charging ports and good communal areas, and the cooking facilities are decent for basic meals. there is a tv and 2 refrigerators. as a student who can sleep almost anywhere, it was cheap and convenient and worked for me. however, some of my friends who are lighter sleepers left...
Read moreBest described as alright. The location of the hostel is the best factor it’s 10 minutes from the centre and 10 minutes from all the bars and restaurants, there is a shop and bank over the road. They do a bbq night which was a nice idea but a rip off for what we got. The air con is good, dorms and beds are comfy enough if a bit cramped. The staff can be very helpful especially with info on what to do in the city but the morning and daytime staff seemed much nicer than the evening and night staff so ask in the morning. Kitchen and common areas are nice enough and reasonably well equipped. The basic breakfast is rubbish it’s essentially bread and water. They offer a slightly better one you pay extra for. The place is as clean as you can expect for the price. WiFi is good most of the time but stops working every now and again. The toilets/bathroom are very cramped and not the nicest to use, the shower is outright dangerous it’s hot enough to take...
Read moreJohn and Lala are AWESOME! Thanks for your advice and friendship. The hostel itself was located very close to a great section of bars and only 15 minutes from downtown. Breakfast was some of the best I've had in Argentina and so FUN on the rooftop bar. The lockers were sort of a joke, the beds were cozy, and they had AC and fans in the entrance. They had beer, water, and soda for sale, but at much higher than what the grocery stores offer. There's a free walking tour new town at 5pm and old town at 11am. I really didn't like the shower and bathroom set-up because it leant to no privacy. There wasn't a good place to get undressed and it was for men and women. Walking in on people using the urinal isn't my favorite. The kitchen and dining room are adequate and the decorative art is fun...
