Hospedaje Alto del Valle — Hotel in Municipio de Cafayate

I’m writing this honest review as a warning for future travelers.

I stayed at this hotel during the second week of May for three nights. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by an incident where money was stolen from my room by a member of the hotel staff.

Initially, the management denied any wrongdoing until I involved the police. While the thief eventually returned the money and the manager/owner was apologetic, this incident left me questioning the security and trustworthiness of the hotel staff.

Personally I would never return to this hotel. I do not feel safe as a foreign traveler. Future travelers should be cautious and vigilant during their stay if you decided to stay here.

We enjoyed our stay here. Yes, it is a little far from the city centre, but we had our own hire car. It was only after staying here and reading the negative review about theft, that we remembered that one evening we went out (leaving curtains open and light off), and upon our return were a bit puzzled to find the light on and the curtains closed. Perhaps someone had "visited" our room ... we can't be certain, but maybe it would be wise to carry all your valuables with you when you go out (we certainly weren't missing anything, just felt a little uncomfortable). Comienzo por agradecer a las chicas y el chico que nos atendieron muy bien, realmente valoramos mucho la buena atención. El lugar es bellísimo, súper tranquilo y cada rincón es mágico, acompaño unas fotos porque me olvidé de sacarle más pero les aseguro que a quien vaya le va a gustar. Tiene desayuno completo, muy limpio, ordenado, los asados tienen vienen preparado con vajilla y artículos de limpieza para poder usar y dejar todo ordenado fácilmente, la iluminación bella, tiene varios sectores para tomar mates con mesas y sillas, la pileta impecable, las sillas de la pile son muy cómodas y no se calientan con el sol. Estuvimos en una habitación triple por lo cual nos resultó más cómodo para nuestro equipaje y espacio. Baño con ducha caliente fría Perfecto, cuentan con toallas y lo necesario para una ducha cómoda. No hay secador de pelo. Tiene TV con acceso a usb por lo que pueden usar chromecast. Aire acondicionado limpio. Queda a 5min en vehículo de la plaza, y 9min de bodega Piatelli (no recomiendo comer en la bodega Piatelli, leer comentario en el otro post). Hay varios negocios alrededor abiertos y buen precio.

Recomiendo y espero que sigan ofreciendo el buen servicio que tuvimos para que vuélvanos pronto y sigan creciendo en su negocio! Que les vaya muy bien !!!...
