Let me start by saying if the option were available I'd be tempted to give this place a 31/2 star rating.||Pros:||Good location||Clean||Excellent staff||Decent restaurant||Fair price||I was there on a business trip with my wife and we chose the del Estero based on the ratings read here. We stayed in one of their suites (room 401) which was spacious and clean. We have no serious complaints, but there are a couple of things which would stop us from giving it a full 4 or 5 star rating.||Cons:||1.There simply weren't enough wall sockets in the room. There were two behind the bed that were covered by the mattress, one by the television and one where the refridgerator was plugged in, but nothing where one could plug in a computer or charge a phone. They need more wall sockets!||2. There was not desk in the room, just a small, round table and two chairs. I would think a suite would at least have a desk with a decent chair to work at, but it was not to be. To do any work you almost have to go to the restaurant and work there.||3. The wi-fi was a little difficult to connect to. Actually, the 4th floor router would never let us connect; we had to connect to the 3rd floor and it was not always reliable.||4. The breakfast bar consisted of: cold cereal, lots of breads, ham and cheese, some cut fruit, coffee and/or tea. Not hugely substancial, high in carbs, but it would fill you up to a degree.||||So Altos Del Estero is a good hotel, probably closer to a 3 1/2 star, but I do think they are trying hard. The staff was very kind and attentive, no complaints there. We'd probably stay there again should we need to go to...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed 2 nights with a Hotels confirmed reservation. ||After arriving on the 17:10 PM bus from Salta, we taxied(30 Ap) 2 km south to this large hotel. The Spanish speaking receptionist copied our passport while we filled out the guest form. He priced a rental car and then the bus station for alternative transport to Termos de Rio Hondo before providing the key card. We took one of the 2 elevators to our 3rd floor #302. The nice sized tiled room had a comfortable queen 2 nightstands shelved closet, shelf desk with chair, refer below and TV above, and a fully outfitted bathroom with a slippery tub shower.||We had good secure wifi, quiet efficient AC, and a 7AM breakfast buffet overlooking the ground floor pool; OJ, fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, cheese, ham, magdalenas and coffee with hot milk. ||The pedestrian zone is one street away, then left, 1 block to the Mercado and 2 blocks to the main Plaza Libertad with its 1877 Cathedral and adjacent, the beautiful Cultural Center with its atrium cafe and outstanding museum.||In our opinion, this large business hotel offers good...
