We spent five nights at the hotel and would happily have stayed for longer as it was such a great place to relax. The views of the lake are stunning and the hotel is very spacious and homely. The weather was dire for our first two days, but there was always a fire in the lounge and we used the well equipped gym and sauna area as well as the outdoor pool which was heated close to 30 degrees C. The bedroom was clean and spacious, with high ceiling and a wonderful view. When the weather improved we took a boat from the hotel jetty over to Los Arrayanes National Park which is beautiful - we did the walk across the park another day. We had a car, which is helpful to see the area, but we just walked to local restaurants in the evening or ate at the hotel’s own restaurant next door which is fantastic (albeit that it does not offer coffee after the meal).||The staff spoke good English and were very helpful in organising boat trips etc. Our only complaints were a) that the background music in the living area became very repetitive if you spent any time there (which we did for a couple of days during the bad weather) as there is only so much Jack Johnson that you can take, and b) a Nespresso machine offered coffee for A$110 but was rarely there. Breakfast was decent and relaxed, and they would make eggs on request.||Overall, this is one of the best boutique hotels that we have stayed in and would love to come back at...
Read moreSadly we only had one night here, but wanted to stay longer. ||||The hotel is really stylish and furnished with great taste. The lounge is superbly relaxing and our bedroom was very well appointed with a view of the lake. Although not a large room, it had a big comfortable bed with good lighting for reading. A beautiful bathroom was a highlight. (The shower door didn’t quite close and water seeped out into the expensive marble floor!) The shower door was the only fault in an otherwise faultless Hotel.||||It’s a hotel with a casual ambience but great care is taken to make guests feel at home. The many interesting decorative items in the lounge and up the stairs are well curated. Nessy (you might need to be from the uk to appreciate this), the metal Christmas trees, the wooden birds and the chic lights should all have come home with me! I am sure guests will spot other objects which delight them. ||||Anyone staying here should appreciate the good taste and style of the hotel. It was a treat...
Read morePros: the location is great and the rooms are lovely. The dry sauna is spacious. Delfina restaurant (separate review) is excellent for lunch & dinner. Cons: windows have no screens, so the local cat tried to get in our room, along with mosquitoes. Front desk staff is absent MOST of the time. If you want help, you have to hunt them down in the kitchen. Front desk is not helpful for English tourists to book local things to do. Breakfast is very limited. Coffee and hot milk are not hot, because they use old thermos pitchers that are ineffective. The sauna/workout area has no operational phone in case of emergency (even after pointing this out, there was no solution). The indoor jacuzzi was cold for our...
