Chalet Dilijan Hotel & Restaurant — Hotel in Dilijan

Our room was not clean and not in order, the breakfast was poor and service none existing. Maybe my worst hotel experience ever!|||| we belived to be a four star hotel. When we arrived in the early evening we realised that our room was dirty with dust and long black hairs all over the bathroom tiles and bright wooden floors. We agreed in a friendly manner with the reception that they would fix it while we went out for some food. We confronted the reception with the room still not being clean and the window being out of order, and asked for a new room. They answered that they had no other room available, and that our room could not be cleaned because none of those at work did cleaning. They admittet that the window was broken, but they were not aible to fix that either. Most of all we wanted to leave, but it was late in the evening and we were travelling with two young children. So we had no other choice but to stay.||||||||We complained at check out the next morning, but was met with a very arrogant attitude. The lady at the reception claimed that the room was clean enough, and that one should expect some dust and hairs on the floor. She also claimed that nothing was wrong with the window. I asked her if she could come up to the room with me and show me how to close it, as no one at the night shift had been able to, but she did not...

We spent New Year’s Eve here to get away from the usual scenery. |And had a great time.|The hotel is new and the design is welcoming with tasteful minimalistic touch. Bed was good and comfy. |The location is cosy with a little river running literally at the end of the hotels territory. But if mountainous views are what you’re going for, Dilijan probably has a few better spots to offer. |The staff were friendly and helpful. But the owners are the real cherry on top! If you’re lucky enough to be there when they’re present you’ll know! Wow!! What great hosts! True example of Armenian hospitality. Very attentive without coming out as clingy.
