We stayed at Hover Boutique Hotel in Dilijan, Armenia from April 6th to 8th, booking their two-bedroom cottage with a hall and jacuzzi. While the property is positioned as a premium boutique hotel, our experience was unfortunately far from what was promised in the photos and description.||Upon arrival, the front desk staff asked us to cancel our Booking.com reservation and book directly through their website, stating that Booking.com charges them a high commission. In return, they promised us a discount. Trusting them, we agreed, but this turned out to be a major mistake, as paying directly meant we lost the protection and support that booking platforms usually provide.||The cleanliness of the property was unacceptable. By 6 PM on our first day, we saw a large number of red and black ants and small insects in the hall and the lower bedroom, an issue that became worse at night. We were traveling with children, and this made sleep and comfort nearly impossible, spoiling our experience in what should have been a peaceful and scenic destination.||When we brought this to the staff’s attention, they initially blamed us, suggesting our children had dropped candy that attracted ants. Later, the manager, Nuneh, stated that since the hotel is in a forest, such insects are normal. We were shocked at the lack of responsibility or empathy. Despite viewing other available rooms, which lacked the jacuzzi and view we had paid extra for, they refused to adjust the rate or offer a proper resolution.||To make matters worse, we had booked a 1-hour horse riding session through the hotel, but the actual ride lasted only 30 minutes, even though we were charged for the full hour. When we raised concerns, the staff began pretending not to understand English. Eventually, the manager offered a token 5,000 AMD discount, and rudely told us we could leave the hotel at 9 PM if we weren’t happy, but no refund would be issued for the remaining night.||This level of service and lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially for a property charging higher mid to premium rates. Our two-day stay was completely ruined, and the management's behavior left us deeply disappointed.||I strongly advise future travelers to avoid direct bookings and to stay at reputable, branded accommodations where hygiene, professionalism, and customer service are taken seriously. This experience serves as a cautionary tale, don’t be misled by attractive photos and promises. Your comfort and well-being should not be...

The hotel's location is one of its strongest assets, perfectly situated for exploring the best of Dilijan. We were just a quick, five-minute drive away from everything we wanted to see, from the delightful local flavors at Tava Restaurant to the adventurous VereV Rope Park. This convenience allowed us to effortlessly experience the charm of the town. Our mornings began with a satisfying and hearty breakfast. The spread was generous, offering a classic selection that would please any guest—fresh eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, a variety of cereals, milk, coffee, and tea. It was the perfect fuel for our daily adventures.
The true highlight of our stay was the family room. It was simply exceptional. The interior design was tasteful and modern, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The room opened up to a private balcony that offered breathtaking views of the surrounding Dilijan landscape. Enjoying a morning coffee there while soaking in the scenery was an unforgettable experience.
