Had a 12 night stay here. I found it comfortable and the rooms are spacious and clean. There is a restaurant and laundry facilities. Rooms are serviced after two or three days if you are staying up to six days BUT if you are staying more than seven days your room will not be serviced until the seventh day unless you ask for it to be serviced. My advice is to phone and ask every 3 days especially as you will have limited milk coffee etc. Bathroom is modern and clean. I personally love the wall mounted soaps and shampoos. There is adequate parking, I was always able to park close to my room. The hotel is close to Sunnybank and Mt Gravatt Shopping malls which have shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant has what I consider to be a pub menu however both the steaks and ribs are good value. One of their chefs is quite good and the food is better when he is on. The buffet breakfast is the best deal here. It is quite a good spread and I think good value for the money. The coffee was good too. LAUNDRY - the laundry near the reception was out of order. The other laundry near the villas was well attended but has 4 washing machines and 2 dryers. Other users often left their clothes in the dryers for hours making it inconvenient to get access. Management are to blame for this as they did nothing to alleviate the situation in the period I stayed there. Machines take $2 coins. Coins and washing powder are available at reception.

FIRST AND FOREMOST - Be prepared for bugs! Alot of bugs were squished 😓🫤 The location is pretty solid and makes it easy to get to nearby shopping centres. The rooms however leave quite a bit to be desired. The showers fit a single person but not so much a larger 180cm individual. The water is super temperamental. It starts cold, and moving it a cm to the left makes it fairly hot, two cm make it scalding hot. The land line in our room was pretty poor and made it sound like the front desk was standing super far away. We also had the displeasure of finding little beetles (not roaches) skittering about. As well as at least one ant. To say it was a bit off-putting is an understatement. Otherwise it wasn't terrible, we've had worse. Just minor changes and upgrades are needed. 😬

Loved my 2 week stay here in one of the villa units located towards the rear of the beautifully maintained sprawling grounds. The reduced tariff for an extended stay was quite reasonable. The accommodation itself was very comfortable with great air con without which this wimpy Melburnian probably would have perished. The cleaning staff did a great job and I never felt afraid for my personal belongings. As we were visiting a relative and driving up the opposite side of Kessels Road every day, we had to go kilometres up the road to make a u turn as there is no break in the road close to the property which was a real pain in the neck. It is close to the large Garden City shopping centre which is a huge plus. I would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately from the very beginning of booking this stay was unacceptable. Firstly I found site online and called up to book rooms over the phone as I had some specific requirements(for elderly) I needed to be filled. M* at the front desk had no idea how to book me in with the online price so after many calls back and forth I had to return to book online then call and check my requirements could be filled. I got emailed by M saying my requirements had been filled only to arrive to find that was not true. We were in town for a funeral and this made it all the more harder which is a shame as it is a nice hotel. We are well travelled and this by far was the hardest booking I had EVER made. Extremely incompetent and I am sure you loose customers due to this. I had 2 rooms booked 1 x 2 people(parents) 1 x 3 people(myself+family) I requested they be on the ground floor and together as elderly parents and travelling together they needed care and looking after. If she had said not possible then okay I would have went elsewhere. We ended up 1 room ground floor 1 room upstairs in total different building. Not only did they stuff that up but also stuffed up the ground floor room had 3 people when it was meant to be the other way around if anything which I told M** several times!!!! A real shame as it is a nice place however wont be returning and wont be...

Had dinner and played trivia here last night (Thursday 30/04/2021). Cleanliness and general presentation were excellent. Service was friendly attentive and efficient. Unfortunately, the experience was seriously marred by the quality of the food. I ordered the BBQ ribs which were described as "tender" but in fact were anything but. They actually were quite dry, tough and over-spiced and I was unable to finish them. This is extremely disappointing as at $35 they were not exactly cheap. The accompanying coleslaw was fine, however, as were the excellent potato fries. No refund or compensation of any kind was offered when I remarked on this to the serving staff on being queried about my satisfaction with the food.

So, I turned up here again tonight to play Trivia. I noticed the reply to my review when I accessed Google maps and brought up the Robertson Gardens website thinking to take a look at the menu. I decided to take up the offer and give them another try. On showing the reply to the young gentleman behind the bar I was told that he could not help me because I had not replied to the email address provided. I considered replying on the spot but decided it just wasn't worth the effort. I am thinking this will definitely be my last visit to...
