The expense of university offers poor value for money. 12 lectures per course (other more prestigious universities have better lecturers and offer the lectures free online) and marking of lab reports and tests.

The results of the test are then used for weeding rather than evaluation and development, Any feedback only has value when reattempting by waiting one year and paying the fee again.

Then the student is punished with a GPA that ensures they are not able to continue to postgraduate study.

In other words the already educated pass with high results and one should not attempt until they already understand the content if they wish to attain postgraduate education where there is mentor ship and relevant skill based testing for masters degrees.

Why can't the university offer programs more like Toastmasters. Self paced learning with mentors that guide and develop. Rather than spam information with lectures and weed those who cant cram it all in.

After studying at USQ and QUT, I have to say Griffith is my favourite. With the groups available, restaurants on campus, and lecturers who excelled, and continue to excel, in their fields, Griffith provides a superior educational experience. My Law degree teaches me real-world applications while USQ was more academic and aimed at mature aged students, and QUT was all about posturing with staff not providing much help. At Griffith, some of the staff are unfortunately irritable and obviously hate working in customer service/relations. But the ones who enjoy their jobs are generally quite lovely to deal with. A smile and a self-deprecating joke go a long way (I mean, it is the Aussie way). With many campuses, I can also select to have a class at the Gold Coast to give myself a justified 1 day a week at the coast, or take intensive law courses at south bank (film and art campus) for a short term change of scenery.
