| |Seashell Cottage. UNIT 47. Cape View Resort. We arrived full of the joy of holiday beginnings and, like most places, you know in the first few minutes whether a place has been thoughtfully made ready and clean or not.|Whilst there are most basic amenities, this place is shabby, dated and in need of a good clean. There is a jungle of cobwebs behind the bed and bedside table in the main room and several spiders in it. The top shelf of the wardrobe is filthy with dust and particles. The bed is comfortable enough but the bedding was insufficient for the cold weather.|The main bathroom is ok, however, after reading all the instructions on the spa bath, we filled it up only to find that it didnât work!|In the living area, the fridge has a thick film of dust on top of it and all the curtains are dusty. The front of the fridge has rust spots all over it. The sofa also has a spider menagerie behind it.|The laundry is ok although the front of the dryer has been smashed and not replaced or repaired.|Outside in the courtyard, the weeds vied for attention between the pavers and the table and chairs were rusty. Donât even hope for a barbecue as the top is rusted and paint coming off it and the cooking surface is awful.|Some of these things you can overlook if the overall presentation is made with effort and care. However, when we raised these issues with the management, we were told they would send cleaners out. Which they did. But they must have just looked at the place because nothing had changed! When we asked about this we never received a response. And THAT, right there is why I am taking time to write this.|It is the arrogant assurance that some of these money grabbing âHoliday Rentalâ companies have that, regardless of what state a place is in, some poor hapless fool desperately wanting a short break will have to settle for it. After all, you get what you pay for and the money is in their bank by the time you get your thongs packed!! Really? I can pay less per night for an upmarket hotel in Perth and, at least the hotel management is accountable. Avoid this place until you get assurances that things are fixed, I wish the previous tenants had told us about it. UNIT 47 Seashell Cottage ( More like âShe sells people out cottageâ). We just wanted an apology, itâs not...
Read moreOver the long weekend my little family (Husband, myself, my 11 month old and 3.5 year old) ventured on our very first holiday together. It was a special one for many reasons. ||||Busselton is one of our favourite spots. ||||When we arrived at our accommodation we were shocked to see the state of it. After asking to be moved to a different room (and refused) we requested management to come and rectify the issues. ||||We were greeted by a man âthe managerâ who jumped to conclusions (kept saying we wanted all our money back and wanted to stay for free which is not what we were asking) and disagreed with us about the cleanliness of the rooms (apparently they were clean) in which even after I showed him with a disinfectant wipe I had brought from home he still disagreed that the place was filthy. He was disgustingly rude infront of my kidâs. I have never experienced something so appalling. ||||The cleaners came in and ârecleanedâ the next morning. Upon returning and after 5 minutes of my daughter crawling and playing on the floor, her leggings and socks were black. ||Iâm absolutely disgusted for many reasons but after all is said and done, I donât want anyone to experience what we did at this terrible âresortâ. ||||House #47||||-filthy floors||-mould||-spiders easy for my daughter to grab||-so much dust my son needed his puffer every night||-the dirtiest/smelliest couch I had ever seen||-looked like blood stains on the curtains in the room in which my kids slept ||The list goes on but the pictures speak for themselves. ||||I re cleaned not long after check in. Not worth over $200 a night.||||I am taking this further. ||Lesson learnt, I will never stay here...
Read more¡ Its hard to say what you enjoyed when the accomodation was the worst ive ever stayed in - i travel ALOT. Especially to busselton atleast 4+ times a year. I guess the lay out of the little houses are cool? Maybe the colour that they painted it. Thats literally it.
¡ ⢠The bed - absolutely HORRIBLE. You try get on it and all you hear and feel are springs moving and making sounds that loud it woke my 6 month old baby whenever i moved. The beds aren't even queen or doubles, it's two singles near each other. ⢠The pillows - might aswell bring some bricks to sleep on instead because they would be more comfortable and softer. The pillows are hard and flat and absolutely ridiculous. ⢠No spare blankets anywhere (not good for a queenslander or someone who gets cold) ⢠Shower - Mouldy floor in the bottom, NO water pressure due to CALCIUM being that built up it was GREEN on the shower head. Plus the shower head wasnt even screwed into the wall properly. ⢠Mould between the bath and vanity. ⢠Downstairs shower had a horrible smell the toilet door handle wasnt even screwed on properly. ⢠The bathroom sink taps were leaking rust. ⢠DIRTY CUTLERY that people EAT with. ⢠Kettle - SOOO MUCH CALCIUM! Ever heard of vinegar? ⢠The dodgey job on the stairs - they were that loud it was rediculous no matter how quiet you tried to be, there was no point. On our last night none of us used pillows we had to use our arms and our clothes đĄ Put it this way, if i knew my sister was also awake at 3am we would have all...
