A little disappointed in our lunch here today. Firstly booked online but we could only book from 2.00pm onwards. We figured it was a full house but after rearranging our day around the late lunch and arriving g to find an almost empty venue, we were a little surprised to say the least. We asked the bar attendant if it had been busy and he said no. So not off to a good start. Ordered the roast porcini for lunch. Servings on the small side. The veggies were nice but the pork was a bit on the dry side, probably because had been sitting in the warmer ready for 12.00 o’clock service. Crackle wasn’t quite there and not enough gravy for the dry meat unfortunately. Portion was on the smaller side. Not as good as our last visit so will think twice about this venue next time.

As locals we try to frequent fairly regularly but as retirees and this place is a little on the pricey side not as often as we would like, when we have visitors we always manage to bring them here, I’ve always raved about the food and previously given a 5* review but not on this occasion, the Steak sandwich my husband and I shared was truly below par as you’ll see from the photo, give it a wide birth, the two servers who we spoke to handled the situation ok and although they apologised and said they would give feedback to the kitchen I’m not sure they did, I hope the kitchen lift their game as it’s good to have somewhere nice to go within walking distance and sad if they don’t.

The 3 stars belong to the kitchen staff and the kitchen staff alone. The bar staff and wait staff are just plain rude. Disgustingly rude. They all need to be retrained or replaced. Waited 10 minutes at the bar Infront of the till, where there were three girls standing there having a chat. All of which looked straight at me yet still continued with their private conversation. They then broke up, one pushed Infront of us to get a menu, one went to the other end of the bar to polish glasses and the other disappeared into the kitchen. Front of house should be disgusted on themselves. On a better note our dinner was cooked to perfection and tasty AF! Kitchen, well done.

Went for lunch today with some trepidation, after previously been disappointed, but eternally optimistic....... Well to say the menu is pretentious is an understatement, it's sooo try hard. I struggled to find something that sounded remotely appealing, or understandable. I fancied some simple, well cooked local fare at a reasonable price but not possible. One of my table guests eventually decided on the lamb, and when asked how she would like it cooked, the said guest requested well done, to which the waitress replied you can't have it well done?? So why bother asking. I eventually opted for "big red pork belly" whatever that is, with Cos and Parmesan chips, etc, etc. After 50 mins it was served, apparently late because we are morons who likes non bleeding lamb. Now the only remotely interesting part of pork belly is the crackle..........and there was none. Instead I had a dry piece of fatty pork hidden under some charred cos lettuce, with chunks of ungrated Parmesan cheese. There was something that resembled a aerated pork scratching that had no taste, but I'm not sure what its relationship to the dish was. My wife had the "Chicken - whatever" and it was a solid chunk of chicken breast meat that looked like a Kiev, but with no Kiev, altogh there was an empty cavity in the middle which I'm sure should have had something in it, Bland, bland, bland. Lunch for 2 Adults, 2 kids (15yo) no alcohol, 1 course + bread and olives $200+. Ha.Never again! Busso stop trying so hard. If you are a visitor to town the never fail options are the Thai restaurants or Domino's. 1 star is for the olives which...

We have had good experiences at Amelia Park Lodge previously, but unfortunately tonight was lacking in service. We had to ask for our menus and water after being seated at our table for 10 mins & thought as we had booked a table online that it would be ready when we arrived, but had to wait for a table to be cleaned, even though there was plenty of empty tables. Out of the three meals we ordered, two were nice but the third one was wrong and we had to wait awkwardly for 20 mins or so for the meal to come in, by then my Mum had finished her meal completely. When the wrong meal was delivered to the table, it was taken away without a word and we didn't hear anything. It would've been nice if someone had approached our table once they knew the order was wrong and acknowledged the problem. This was not done, and after quite some time while my sister sat there awkwardly I had to flag the waitress down and ask her if the meal was coming. Sorry but we were not impressed by the whole service experience and won't be returning for awhile. We have travelled all the way from Perth this evening to take our Mum out for dinner as a surprise tonight and it was disappointing to have this happen. Although we were refunded that meal, which we did not ask for or expect to happen, we were more just looking for acknowledgement of the problem that occurred tonight, as we felt it got brushed...
