Awful experience. The room was not at all as pictured, in fact then room we were given wasn't even pictured on the website. There was black mold all around the edges of the bathroom ceiling, a large clump of hair stuck to the shower wall, the curtains to were old and bleach stained. The beds had yellow stains. The white valance around the bed was brown with filth. The bedside table looked like something picked up out of someone's kerbside rubbish heap. We spent approximately 30 mins in this room while I searched for alternative accommodation. I requested a refund and they said they would only give me 2 nights (I had paid in advance for 3) because a wet towel had been left on the bed. We did not use the shower or towels, so they're either lying or someone else had been in the room after us. Which wouldn't surprise me, because there were numerous signs around the tiny room saying in big capital letters lock doors at all times, suggesting to me security issues. Currently going through fair trading. Cannot emphasise enough, do not stay here. The photos don't do it justice.

Unfortunately, I have to leave this kind of review due to a very unpleasant experience and complete lack of response from the hotel management. After staying for over a week, we noticed that all of our belongings had become damp and eventually moldy. The room was constantly wet — from the walls and beds to the floor. We were moved to another room, hoping it would be better, but the exact same issue happened again. Everything was still wet, and we had to wash all of our clothes at our own expense due to the mold and dampness. We tried to raise this issue with the management multiple times, but they chose to ignore all our messages and concerns. For guests planning a longer stay, I would strongly advise against it. The excessive moisture is not only damaging to your belongings, but it’s also potentially harmful to your health. To be fair, the staff on-site were helpful and did their best within their limits. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the serious environmental issues in the rooms and the poor communication from management.

The room was pretty spacious for two, with a TV and we had a small balcony outside. Cutleries are provided and there are some plates and bowls. Complimentary instant coffee and there's also a fridge and a kettle. Loved the space. However the cleanliness of the place was a huge issue, we found several pubic hair on the blanket so we didn't dare to use them, we decided to turn off the aircon so we didn't have to use the blanket.... The aircon remote was kinda broken too. The pillow casing looks really yellow and yucky. The management really should consider hiring more (or better) cleaning staff. There are quite a few shared toilets and showers available but it stinks so bad 😭 The reception lady was pretty friendly but we couldn't book the Kuranda tour from her, so wasn't sure what the 5% off was for. Good value for a one night stay though but I probably would have just paid more and stayed in a cleaner place.

If I could give a negative it would be worth it but unfortunately 1 is the lowest. Im not one to leave reviews We just take all good and bad things as an experience however this can not go unsaid I cannot leave this alone. We have stayed in some unpleasant places. This place should not be operating. We checked in late. We had been on the road all day and was tired. When we got to our room it was warm so we turned on the aircon it smelt awful and made my partner sneeze for some time we turn the air con off went to turn fan on but it was so badly caked with dust we were not game to put more dust in the tiny space. No remote for the TV but I guess that’s because the TV was only for show as it did not work. The Fridge was not cold and you could not even open the door on the microwave due to it not fitting in the space it was put. It was unusable anyway the cord did not even reach the power point, went to have a shower but the shower & basin were extremely mouldy and no toilet paper. The bathroom door was swollen and would not close. My partners towel had pink stains on it. Went to go to bed As we were tired we pulled back the sheets and was horrified. We packed up and left only a few hours after checking in. The sheets had not even been changed from the last guest, stains on the sheets so we pulled the top sheet right back only to find a lot of black hair throughout the bed and grass and dirt at the bottom of the bed from feet being in the bed. After seeing this I was sick in the stomach I could not get out fast enough. My partner looked at the pillows and he did not think they had not been changed as they had a smell to them as well.. They say you get what you pay for but seriously clean sheets after every guest is a must in any accomodation weather it’s cheap or expensive especially with QLD Health drilling cleanliness into us all due to Covid. This is certainly FAR from Covid clean. Absolutely Discussing a huge...
