This motel is currently being used as accommodation for the homeless. |Restaurant is closed. Fortunately there is a pub next door where we ate dinner. |Had the feeling we were the only paying guests. |The room was large and clean, with one double bed and one single bed and a bedside table shared between the two beds. Therefore we had to use both beds so we could both use the bedside table. There was ample room for another one. |There was a microwave in the room but no dishes so was unusable. There was tea and coffee supplied with cups etc. However microwave had to be moved to allow access to the one power outlet to use kettle. |The beds were on castors on a vinyl floor (no brakes on castors) so they were constantly moving. This can be dangerous eg. bed moves away as person sits down, an accident waiting to happen! Had to ask for something to stop castors moving and a couple of extra towels were provided for us to put under the castors with limited success! |Adequate bathroom but not enough room to put own toiletries. |Had booked and paid for 2 nights but left after one night. |Reception staff not overly helpful and not available the next day...
Read moreI booked an upstairs double for 2 nights while in Casino on a course. I originally chose it because it (a) was close to the venue & (b) offered dinner & breakfast. Having experienced it, I would choose it again no matter where the venue was in town. The room was spotlessly clean, the shower was hot, the bed was comfortable and the meals were excellent. Sure there was a work gang booked in there on the 2nd night but I didn't hear anything from them after about 6.00pm and didn't hear them leave early in the morning. The staff were friendly and the service was great. The ONLY downsides were the noisy hole-in-the-wall air conditioner and the fact I couldn't open the front windows to let in some fresh air. Also the off-street parking is "first in, first parked" with plenty of on-street parking at the...
Read moreTravelling solo on a 3 day motorcycle trip I look for easy room access, meal availability and of course the local bottle shop.||Rooms - Access no problems. Room size was large. They were very clean and comfortable. Even though the Casino Motor Inn is just off the Highway road noise was non-existent.||The motel provided a breakfast menu with other meals available within an easy walk. The pub was next door for meals other than breakfast. Want a different menu then a simple walk down the street can resolve that.||Reception was friendly and welcoming. Poor guy had to retrieve a pot plant out of the pool at 10oC and he was still pleasant and smiling.||The Casino Motor In suited my requirements perfectly and was excellent value for money. I can see no reason for me to stay anywhere else if I am...
