Hey guys im not from town but was staying with a friend while waiting for Alfred and tried to do a grocery run on Sunday. After doing a lap of town trying to find some bread I found your bakery. I headed inside to find it busy and pretty low on stock I approached the counter thinking the chances were low but I have to ask. "No" sorry we don't have any bread. My heart sank but I wasn't ready for this roller coaster........"but I can take an order and you can come back later and collect it" "awesome" I said I paid for my loaf and was instructed to return around 130. Well 130 rolls around so I head back in thinking I might just grab a little sweet treat while I'm there I lined up and asked for my loaf of bread and a french vanilla slice! ........tragedy my loaf of bread couldn't be found sensing some confusion and frustration I asked what was up, turns out they were baking yet another batch of that white pillow-soft nectar of life. I said it was no problem I'd come back for the later batch. I left with my vanilla slice and was asked to give them an hour. Which was a pretty neat coincidence as it was the perfect amount of time to have a cuppa and enjoy this amazing vanilla slice. Flakey pastry sweet creamy thick luxurious custard with a gentle dusting of powdered sugar, the perfect little uplift for a drab day. The hour passes and I make my way in desperate to lay my hands on my slab of life saving freshly baked awesomeness. When I arrived you guys looked tired! And not just regular end of a Sunday shift tired but like propper 12 rounds with Tyson tired you thanked me for being patient and understanding I thanked you for being a legend and staying open and continuing to bake and for the amazing service to the community who had been left to fend for themselves by the large supermarkets. It was then I realised you were supposed to close at 1pm it was now 3pm.....If I had some beers I would have shouted you a couple. So yeah I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely loaf of bread and an interesting story. I'm very keen to come back for a coffee and a pie when I'm back in town!!!!! Keep on...

This is a CITY style bakery with CITY style quality food/class but in a rural country town!
We get our sourdough from them and they always have a very enticing delicious selection of cakes/desserts/treats you can also grab a bacon and egg roll on the go and just wait a few mins while they heat it for you YUMMO! Its VERY popular with locals and business/tradie workers.
Of course their pies/sausage rolls and cater for even vegetarians if you are not into meat or chicken but beware they often sell out FAST!
The staff are friendly and its awesome to have this business located over South of Casino as it is a great eye catcher for visiting tourists whom enter Casino from eg Tenterfield,Grafton, or Coraki.
Whilst parking is often hard to get as its so popular you can park just North of the cafe before you cross the bridge there is a the Casino Tourist info centre which has car park spaces for cars and Caravans/motor homes and you can sit there in the park or go to the River and sit on tables and chairs(be warned the Council are VERY slack at cleaning the seating that has no cover over them so are always covered in bird poo which is very distasteful for us locals and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHaving been recommended to this bakery by a friend I had expectations. They were met and then some. We had a Cheese and Bacon pie, full of bacon, just enough cheese and not greasy or oily like some others are. Pepper steak pie, well, if hubby exclamation of āThereās half a rump steak in hereā was anything to go by! The caramel slice, while decadent was not overly sweet, which is rather refreshing. Some caramel is just too rich. Am yet to eat the brownie but if the massive chunks of chocolate that I can see are anything to go by, Iām sure Iāll enjoy. Staff were very friendly and...
