Caves Beach Resort — Hotel in Caves Beach

This place was in a great location and had great potential however, the rooms were the most filthiest I have ever had to stay in. There was mould all over the place, cockroaches were swarming around everywhere, and the vents and windows had not been clean in god knows how long. I have added pictures to show you the severity of the situation. When I spoke to reception they didn't care about it at all and didnt even apologize or try to rectify the situation. Amazing views and a great restaurant and bar setup. However, I hope we just caught the restaurant on a busy night because the quality of the food was just not up to par. Multiple dishes were late, some had incorrect sauces/sides and the rest were just incorrectly cooked. Medium rare steaks were well done and the medium was a piece of charcoal that had to be sent back. At least the staff were friendly and helpful when they gave a complimentary drink to make up for the disappointment. Amazing location, great views, spacious villas, so close to the beach can just walk there! Ample parking (under restaurant too) so convenient with bistro onsite. And other cafes and iGA nearby too. Only wish the floors were cleaned better- felt dusty and sandy ( before we went to beach and we took shoes off at the door) . Needed a good sweep and mop. Free Wifi thanks s weak, own phone connection is even worse here unless you are with Telstra!
