South Pacific BnB Clifton Beach, Cairns Queensland — Hotel in Clifton Beach

There are so many good things to say about South Pacific BnB. Firstly, Clifton Beach is beautiful and the BnB is located in a quite Cul de Sac serenaded by birdsong. The hosts made me feel immediately welcome, There is a lovely self contained cottage beside the main house however, as I was travelling alone, I booked a room in the main house itself. Maz has furnished the room with a high attention to detail. it was immaculately clean. The room is set up on far side of the house with its own private bathroom and these two rooms are effectively separated from the rest of the house by a screen door. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and pillow cases were luxuriantly soft. Immediately after arriving I cooled off in the pool, which is an oasis surrounded by palms and trees and adorned with a variety of bromeliades and other plants. Maz provides a healthy choice of breakfast options including a fresh tropical fruit platter that I was lucky to enjoy in the company of Alan. I appreciated his interesting and learned conversation on a diverse variety of topics. South Pacific B&B is more like a Holiday with Friends than any other holiday accommodation I have stayed at. Maz and Alan are the perfect Hosts and were welcoming, generous and informative from the moment I arrived. I stayed in the Queen Room and found the accommodation and facilities to be first class with everything you would ever need. Immaculately presented, very private, and a great night’s sleep. Everything lived up to the reviews and Breakfast was excellent. The home is light, bright, and intriguing to say the least and it takes quite some time to absorb the sights and sounds, but once you do it is captivating. And the pool is amazing! I stayed in the unit adjacent to the main house. Fabulous well-appointed unit with a private courtyard. No comfort spared, quality towels, and bedding, body wash and shampoo and conditioner, coffee machine, microwave, and an array of glassware, dining ware and cutlery. Maz provides an amazing brekkie at your time of choice on the main house verandah, fresh tropical fruit with homemade yoghurt, croissants or muffins, and of course a great coffee. A 30-minute beach walk to Palm Cove, yet a quiet place to retreat to from the hustle and bustle of Palm Cove.
