19th Avenue On The Beach Gold Coast — Hotel in Gold Coast City

I have been staying here for quite a few months now while I work in the area. Dion and Nicky have put me up in a lovely comfortable high level 2BD unit facing the beautiful ocean. Waking up next to the beach view and sound of the ocean waves have been nothing short of luxurious. The unit is regularly serviced and facilities regularly updated.

Being a full time travelling professional I have stayed in many accommodations, and I highly recommend this place for any solo or family traveling for work or leisure purposes. Being a healthcare shift worker I have never had any issues with noise or disturbance of any form.

Dion and Nicky are professional, efficient and extremely hospitable. They address every maintenance issue straight away with clear communication. The building is very safe and secure, and my privacy has always been respected.

All the amenities are available including gym, pool, sauna, bbq area, tennis court, game room etc… and this spot is literally a few steps away from the beach. Being next to the bus stop makes it extremely convenient for my family to travel down to stay whenever they want to spend a weekend away from the city. Also maccas and 7/11 just across the road 24/7.

Dion and Nicky have done an excellent job and I have nothing to fault. Every time I stay here for work purposes I always feel like I am on a working holiday. Definitely a stand out compared to many accommodations I’ve encountered...

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this stay was not the ‘4 star’ rating it claims to be. There was extremely rude customer service from multiple staff upon check in. The apartment itself was spacious with nice large mirrors but almost everything was filthy. Dusty smell in all rooms, dirty mugs, grease and food all over the kettle, carpet stains, and I even woke up to realise my blanket had (what I hope was) a large food patch on it. The beds were not very comfortable but did the trick. I just fit on the single bed so anyone taller would struggle. I ended up getting cold with no extra blankets or sheets to use. At some stage I couldn’t fall asleep because I was convinced I could faintly smell vomit in my room. I had to spray my perfume to distract myself. Of course feeling like you’re sleeping in a dirty place is not a nice feeling. When our door was closed it constantly sounded like someone was rattling the handling or trying to get it, so it stayed open. The bathroom is outdated. I also wouldn’t give a high rating to the view as there is currently a lot of construction being done across the road - not sure when they will be finished. The location is the only reason we stayed. For the price I think this is nice. It worked very well with our family to have the kitchen and laundry. We rented two units next to each other for over a week whilst on holiday with our in-laws. The building is kept very clean and organized. The grounds are small but well maintained. The pool is a gem being very large and my fathe-in-law who is a long distance swimmer loved it as did the kids. It also does have the beach right outside and underground covered parking. It does appear that many of the units are individually owned so the quality of each unit can vary. Ours were nice with AC which was a must for us although the “middle” room with twin beds did not get too cool in the evenings even though the main living area and master bedroom did. Our unit had nicer and newer appliances and the bathrooms and kitchens were updated. It did not have a lot of towels or other supplies so be prepared to purchase some of those possibly. The cleaning service came once a week which was nice and overall it was clean (we have paid more and stayed in less clean / updated units in Hawaii.) It is not at the level of a high end resort but I’m fairly picky and I was quite comfortable. The only other thing that could be nice is if they had some basic beach equipment...
