Worst service ever! The setting, absolutely stunning, there was literally a whale swimming right out in front, the perfect day was to be had, only to be ruined by simply rude people. The second I walked up to order I was met with strange hostility. The Barista gave me a look of disgust, it turned out it wasn’t personal, she met every person that walked up with the same eye rolling look. I just ordered coffees, and thought I’d come back in a few minutes to order food because they were clearly stressed. When I returned things only got worse. The staff were complaining about things that we could all hear. The specials on the menu were “sold out” at 7am, it’s pretty obvious from the staffs behaviour they either didn’t prep for it the day before or most likely they wanted less work to do, my guess from their behaviour the latter. Still, pushed on, but when we went to order, this was the shocking part. I asked if I could have no butter on the toast, the lovely girl on the till simply asked the barista if it could be taken off, she snapped “I don’t know,” and then when she asked for clarity, she simply stopped talking, the girl then asked the chef, to which her response was angry mumbles. So the girl at the counter, said “I don’t know.” I then responded, I’m really sorry, I need a yes or a no. I’m happy to order something else.” She then went back to her colleagues who refused to either speak or give a straight answer. The final answer was “maybe.” I’ve never seen such rudeness from hospitality staff, I’ve been in the service industry for 20 years and this tops it as probably the worst I’ve seen. I’ve opened multiple new hospitality venues, so I have some context and this tops it for I think worst I’ve ever seen. We left and went to a cafe across the road. I’ve just gone to click post, and as I’ve looked up, I’ve seen other people who were at the same cafe walk in here after leaving that likely the same reason. What a beautiful setting for a cafe, absolutely ruined by a couple of people who need to take a good look in the mirror and get a new job. To the poor girl behind the counter who has to work with those people who clearly would rather be anywhere else, I’m sorry you have to...
Read moreSuch a gorgeous tucked away little location. Came for breakfast on a Saturday morning with family and dogs around 9am.
Lots of parking but missed the driveway on the first pass. You can park either side of the White house. Watch out for electric bikes as you turn in, they come down the foot path ultra fast.
Once you walk around the side, there's a beautiful little cafe on the beach right near a patrol station. You would never know from the street. 100% worth visiting!
There is undercover tables but we were lucky enough to grab some chairs on the grass under an umbrella. It was such a gorgeous spot.
Coffee arrived very quickly. The coffee is a little more of a bolder bitter bean. We ordered avo dourdough, breakfast burger, and fritters. The fritters were absolutely amazing. I forgot to grab a photo but definately recommend. There was a little bit of a wait on the food. But again, so worth it. Was a cheap and cheerful breakfast spot. Loved it.
Staff were super happy, such a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Read moreMost importantly, the coffee is fantastic, with the beans selected by an authorised coffee snob ;) This cafe is simple, basically a kitchen that is part of the local surf lifesaving club, with tables and seats adjacent to the beach for amazing sun and sea views every morning of the week. The cafe helps fund the surf club also.. so you get to enjoy coffee and breakfast whilst contributing to the community and water safety at...
