Sylvan Beach Resort — Hotel in Greater Brisbane

Horrible experience with this property / company. They are severely lacking in customer service. Promised a refund for more than a month and still no money has been returned to me. I've sent multiple emails with no response. I've also called at least 10 times now and spoken to 3 different people with no outcome. The first person was not very interested and promised to get back to me, but never did. I called again and he promised to organise my refund, but never did. The second person took my details down and admitted that the first person should have done that and obviously they couldn't process a refund without my card details. The third person I spoke to processed the refund after a week, but sent the money to the wrong card number. Now I'm having to wait even longer for them to investigate their own mistake. They have also asked for me to provide a copy of my credit card statement, despite knowing that the money was sent to the wrong card number due to their mistake. Whilst planning our trip north, friends recommended Bribie Island. Looking on google we found the area we wanted to stay, called the local visitor information centre and advised which places were on the Sylvan Beach side of the bridge. Glad we chose Sylvan Beach resort. great facilities, however to be honest we didn't have a dip in the pool due to exploring the island and attending a local festival, plus walking along the nearby waterfront and enjoying the waters there.||||The room facilities provided a nice, neat, clean home away from home. Recently stayed here with my family for a couple nights over the weekend. We booked a 3 bedroom apartment and were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. Entire apartment was thoroughly cleaned top to bottom (which was great as I am a clean freak), air conditioner was our saving grace due to the humidity, fantastic location as everything was in walking distance (beach, cafe's, pubs). The only thing that let us down was the icy reception we got from a male staff member when we arrived too early for check in. We were made to feel very uncomfortable and were told we should have read our documentation better, and with that we were sent off until check in time.
